Abstract: The present invention relates to survival time aware mobility and presents handover procedures when considering survival time (ST) requirements. It proposes a mechanism and embodiments to allow a target cell to have the information relating to a joining UE's Survival Time requirements as well as the ST status during the handover procedure. In particular, the invention is aimed at being introduced into the mobility procedures: Baseline Handover (BHO), Conditional HO (CHO), and Dual Active Protocol Stack (DAPS) HO. In addition to the aggregated RAN architecture, the mobility procedures can be applicable to disaggregated RAN architecture, e.g., CU-DU split.

Abstract: A method may include configuring a first network element and a user plane function to expose port information of a first network element and a user plane function to a backhaul network. Associated identifiers of the first network element and the user plane function may be received from a second network element. Second stream requirements may be determined in 5GS for the streams transmitted through 5GS. First stream requirements may be derived for a stream to be transmitted between a talker and a listener, and talker and listener identifiers which are the identifiers of the first network element or the user plane function for the backhaul centralized network configurator. Configurations are received of the first network element and the user plane function. Additionally, a protocol data unit session modification procedure may be triggered for the stream.

In addition, at least apparatus for performing determining, by a network node of a communication network, at least one message comprising an access control indication for at least one user device, wherein the at least one user device is in a radio resource control inactive state; and communicating the at least one message with the at least one user equipment, wherein the at least one message is for causing operations comprising a random access procedure to enable communication with the communication network for use of the access control indication in response to the at least one user device meeting at least one requirement.

Abstract: Solutions using a counter space and STOP bits to transmit data are disclosed. The counter space is a portion of a resource grid having a predetermined size in the time domain and in the frequency domain, wherein counter values are associated with respective resource elements of the counter space according to a predetermined rule. By means of the counter space and counter values, it is possible to transmit M binary string values of M binary strings of a predetermined length N by encoding STOP bits over respective resource elements of the counter space, and transmitting the encoded STOP bits. At a receiving side, the encoded STOP bits are decoded to M binary string values to obtain M binary strings of the predetermined length N.
