Abstract: A User Equipment (UE) including a wireless transceiver and a controller is provided. The wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception to and from a first cellular station and a second cellular station. The controller continues to send or receive UP data to or from the first cellular station via the wireless transceiver after receiving a handover command message for a handover of the UE from the first cellular station to the second cellular station, and receives a Radio Resource Control (RRC) request message from the second cellular station via the wireless transceiver after sending a handover complete message to the second cellular station. Also, the controller detaches from the first cellular station in response to receiving the RRC request message.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method to activate secondary cell group (SCG) selectively. For example, the method can include receiving a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message including first and second radio resource configurations of first and second primary secondary cells (PSCells) and conditional PSCell addition (CPA) and conditional PSCell change (CPC) triggering conditions, setting a current triggering condition to be the CPA triggering condition, evaluating the current triggering condition and determining that the first PSCell satisfies the current triggering condition, and performing a CPA step to add the first PSCell as a current SCG, updating the current triggering condition to be the CPC triggering condition, the UE still keeping the first and second radio resource configurations and the CPA and CPC triggering conditions for subsequent CPC step, without releasing the second radio resource configuration and the CPA and CPC triggering conditions associated with the second PSCell.

The method includes the following steps: receiving a first Radio Resource Control (RRC) message or a Media Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE) including an indicator for suspension or resumption of the SCG or for deactivation or activation of a Primary Secondary Cell (PSCell) of the SCG from the mobile communication network; suspending SCG transmission for all radio bearers in response to the first RRC message or the MAC CE including an indicator for suspension of the SCG or deactivation of the PSCell; and resuming SCG transmission for all radio bearers in response to the first RRC message or the MAC CE including an indicator for resumption of the SCG or activation of the PSCell.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for UE-triggered handover and early preparation with coexistence of the network-triggered handover. In one novel aspect, the UE is configured early measurement report configuration, receives an early handover command from the serving base station with a handover candidate cell list, monitors handover triggering conditions for each candidate cell on the handover candidate cell list based on a UE-triggered handover configuration and performs the UE-triggered handover to a candidate cell when the corresponding triggering condition is met for the candidate cell. In one embodiment, the UE receives a network-triggered handover command to a target cell, suspends the UE-triggered handover configuration and performs the network-triggered handover to the target cell. The UE discards the UE-triggered handover configuration upon success of the network-triggered handover and resumes the UE-triggered handover configuration upon failure of the network-triggered handover.

Abstract: A method for recovering from Sidelink relay failure is provided. A relay User Equipment (UE) detects a Radio Link Failure (RLF) or a Handover (HO) failure associated with a first base station when providing a relay service for a remote UE to indirectly communicate with the first base station. The relay UE sends a first command to the remote UE to indicate suspension of the relay service. The relay UE sends a second command to the remote UE to indicate that the relay service is associated with the first base station or the second base station with which the RRC re-establishment procedure is performed.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatus for radio resource control. For example, an apparatus includes transceiver circuitry and processing circuitry. The transceiver circuitry is configured to transmit and receive wireless signals. The processing circuitry is configured to control, when the apparatus is in a power saving mode, the transceiver circuitry to perform a measurement of a potential carrier provided by a network system for communication usage by the apparatus in a connected mode. Then, the processing circuitry provides, before a transition of the apparatus from the power saving mode to the connected mode and via the transceiver circuitry, a result of the measurement of the potential carrier, to the network system. Further, the processing circuitry receives, in the connected mode, carrier configuration information that is determined by the network system based on the result of the measurement of the potential carrier.
