Abstract: A smart screw according to an embodiment may comprise: a screw main body which penetrates an artificial joint including a shell disposed on a hip joint of an object and a liner disposed on the inner surface of the shell and is then inserted into the hip joint; a transducer including a coupling layer that senses a sound wave signal reflected from the liner, a piezo-electric layer formed to determine a frequency of the sound wave signal, and a sound absorbing layer for absorbing the sound wave signal; and a processing module for generating a sound wave signal toward the liner and receiving the sound wave signal sensed by the coupling layer, measuring the thickness of the liner on the basis of the received sound wave signal, and transferring data about the measured thickness of the liner to the outside.

Abstract: A surgical navigation system according to one embodiment may comprise: an electromagnetic wave generation unit; a first detection unit attached to a surgical site of an object to detect a position attached to the surgical site; a second detection unit installed in a patient-specific surgical guide instrument inserted into the surgical site to receive the electromagnetic wave and detect the position of the patient-specific surgical guide instrument; a third detection unit installed in the surgical instrument inserted into the surgical site to detect the position of the surgical instrument; an information processing unit for registering the position of the first detection unit and the position of the third detection unit and for tracking the position of the surgical instrument on the basis of the position of the first detection unit attached to the surgical site, by setting the position of the patient-specific surgical guide instrument as a reference position when the patient-specific surgical guide instrument is inserted into the surgical site; and a display unit for displaying information including the positions of the object and the patient-specific surgical guide instrument and the position of the surgical instrument.

Abstract: A load driving device includes a step-up converter for raising a voltage provided by a power supply and supplying same to a load unit, by comprising a first driving unit and a second driving unit, the first driving unit comprising an inductor and a first fly capacitor, and charging energy provided by the power supply, as the inductor and the first fly capacitor are connected in parallel in a first phase, and discharging the charged energy, as the inductor and the capacitor are connected in series in a second phase, and the second driving unit comprising a second fly capacitor for charging energy provided by the power supply in the second phase and discharging the energy charged in the second phase; and a current control unit for controlling a current provided to the load unit by detecting the current flowing in the load unit and controlling the step-up converter.

Abstract: This application relates to an epilepsy monitoring device. In one aspect, the device includes a first unit having a first body portion arranged on a user's head, a sensor unit that is connected to the first body portion and includes a first sensor for measuring a cranial nerve signal, and a stimulation unit that is connected to the first body portion and applies cranial nerve treatment stimulation to the brain according to a provided brain stimulation signal. The device may also include a second unit electrically connected to the first unit and having a second body portion arranged on a body other than the user's head, a battery unit that is arranged in the second body portion and supplies power to the first unit, and a communication unit for wireless communication with an external device.

Abstract: A surgical navigation system for registering coordinates of a patient-customized tool, according to one embodiment, comprises: an electromagnetic wave generation unit for generating an electromagnetic wave; an electromagnetic sensor provided in a patient-customized tool and including a coil through which the electromagnetic wave passes; and a processing unit for calculating the position and the orientation of the electromagnetic sensor on the basis of magnetic flux, which is interlinked with the coil, and calculating the position and the orientation of the patient-customized tool on the basis of the position and the orientation of the electromagnetic sensor.
