    Abstract: A gas turbine engine including: an exhaust diffuser including an inner tube and an outer tube that form therebetween an annular exhaust passage; a bearing chamber formed radially inside the inner tube for accommodating a bearing that supports a rotor of a turbine; a plurality of hollow struts extending across the exhaust passage; an oil introduction passage extending through one of the struts for introducing oil to be supplied to the bearing chamber; an oil drain passage extending through one of the struts for draining the oil from an exhaust oil inlet opened on a bottom surface of the bearing chamber; and an oil discharge passage for discharging a portion of the oil having passed through the oil introduction passage toward the oil drain inlet.

    Abstract: An intake structure of a compressor includes an intake duct forming an intake port opening in a direction away from a central axis of the compressor and a bellmouth forming an annular channel expanding from an inlet of the compressor toward an inner space of the intake duct. The bellmouth includes a plurality of struts connecting an inner casing positioned inside the annular channel and an outer casing positioned outside the annular channel. At least one of a plurality of transverse struts, of the plurality of struts, which are located on both sides of a center plane passing through the central axis of the compressor and the center of the intake port has a trailing edge positioned on a virtual plane passing through the central axis of the compressor and a leading edge positioned on a side of the intake port with respect to the virtual plane.

    Abstract: Provided is a structure for bleeding gas from a chamber for receiving compressed gas from a compressor of a gas turbine engine and supplying the compressed gas to a combustor. The structure includes: a turbine casing covering an outer circumference of a turbine; an engine housing forming, between the engine housing and the turbine casing, a bleeding space that communicates with the chamber; a bleeding duct through which compressed gas in the bleeding space is guided to the outside of the engine housing; and an annular partitioning member arranged on an upstream side, relative to the bleeding duct in the bleeding space so as to separate the bleeding space from the chamber, and having a plurality of communication holes through which an upstream side and a downstream side relative to the partitioning member communicate with each other.

    Abstract: An exhaust diffuser includes: an internal cylinder; an external cylinder that forms an exhaust passage between the internal cylinder and the external cylinder, the exhaust passage expanding from front to rear; and at least one tubular strut that couples the internal cylinder and the external cylinder together. The external cylinder includes: a front conical portion that is positioned forward of the tubular strut; and an outer flaring portion that starts flaring at a positon forward of the tubular strut at an inclination angle that is greater than an inclination angle of the front conical portion. The internal cylinder includes: a front straight portion that faces the front conical portion and the outer flaring portion; and an inner flaring portion that starts flaring at a position between a maximum width portion and a trailing edge of the tubular strut.

    Abstract: To provide a variable stator vane mechanism, for an axial flow compressor, which is excellent in durability, has a simple structure, and is realized at low cost. The variable stator vane mechanism for adjusting a mounting angle of a stator vane of an axial flow compressor includes: an arm coupled to the stator vane; a rotation ring coupled to one end portion of the arm and located at an outer surface of a casing of the axial flow compressor; a driving machine configured to rotate the rotation ring to cause the stator vane to pivot via the arm; and a friction pad mounted on the casing. The rotation ring is in frictional contact with the friction pad.
