Abstract: A terminal device receives a first system information change indication on a WUR link, and/or determines, on the WUR link, that a cell is changed, where the first system information change indication indicates that system information is changed. The terminal device receives the system information on an NR link if the system information is changed, before establishing or restoring a connection on the NR link. If the terminal device determines that the system information is not changed, the terminal device may not need to receive the system information. For example, the terminal device may directly establish or restore the connection on the NR link when the terminal device does not need to receive the system information.

Abstract: A communication method and device are provided. A first message is received from a base-station central unit, where the first message is associated with determining whether a to-be-paged terminal device supports a first grouping manner and/or determining a paging manner for the to-be-paged terminal device. The terminal device is paged in a first paging manner that is determined based on the first message. A base-station distributed unit can determine, based on the first message, whether the to-be-paged terminal device supports a grouping manner or a grouping manner that can be supported by the to-be-paged terminal device. In this way, in a split architecture, the base-station distributed unit can also complete paging on the terminal device.

Abstract: A channel state measurement method includes: in a time period between two consecutive times of reporting of channel state information (CSI) reports, determining, based on a status of a CSI-reference signal (RS) resource on a second frequency domain resource, whether a CSI report includes CSI of the second frequency domain resource; or during reporting of a CSI report, determining whether reporting has been performed for the second frequency domain resource. If CSI of the second frequency domain resource has been reported in a current discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, a current CSI report does not include CSI of the second frequency domain resource; otherwise, a CSI report that currently needs to be reported needs to include CSI of the second frequency domain resource. Abstract: When cell system information changes, a first terminal device receives, during on duration of the first terminal device, system information sent by a second terminal device, so that the first terminal device can receive the system information through a sidelink between the first terminal device and the second terminal device without a need to maintain a cellular link, thereby reducing complexity and power consumption of system information transmission. Alternatively, when cell system information changes and a first terminal device has only one receive radio frequency chain, the first terminal device obtains system information within a gap period of communication between the second terminal device and the first terminal device through a link between the first terminal device and a network device, so that the first terminal device maintains a cellular link only within the gap period, thereby reducing complexity and power consumption of system information transmission to some extent.

Abstract: In the embodiments of the present invention, a base station can determine a relay communication period of remote user equipment by using indication information carried in a resource request of relay user equipment or by using a resource request of the remote user equipment, and allocate a resource in the relay communication period to the relay user equipment, so that the relay user equipment returns a response message to the remote user equipment by using the resource. Therefore, for a request message sent by the remote user equipment, it can be ensured that the relay user equipment returns, in the relay communication period, a response message corresponding to the request message to the remote user equipment, to avoid a case in which the remote user equipment cannot detect the response message, and to reduce a failure probability of a service requested by the remote user equipment.
