    Abstract: This disclosure provides a service data processing method. The method includes: receiving service data; obtaining a processing manner for processing the service data; performing first timeslot-based multiplexing, bit width conversion, and second timeslot-based multiplexing on the service data when a bandwidth of the service data is less than a first threshold, to obtain an intermediate frame; performing single-level timeslot-based multiplexing on the service data when the bandwidth of the service data is not less than the first threshold, to obtain the intermediate frame; mapping the intermediate frame to an optical transport network (OTN) frame; and sending the OTN frame. A first bit width and a first bandwidth based on which the first timeslot-based multiplexing is performed are different from a second bit width and a second bandwidth based on which the second timeslot-based multiplexing and the single-level timeslot-based multiplexing are performed.

    Abstract: An apparatus comprises a first mirror; a second mirror; a modulation layer positioned between the first mirror and the second mirror and comprising a plurality of modulation regions; a diffraction layer positioned between the modulation layer and the second mirror, and an input port admitting a light beam into the apparatus. The light beam passes through the diffraction layer and is modulated by the modulation layer to create a first modulated beam before being reflected by the first mirror, the first mirror reflecting the first modulated beam toward the second mirror, the second mirror reflecting the first modulated beam toward the modulation layer to be modulated for at least a second time.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are provided. A method includes obtaining a wavelength division multiplexing optical signal. The wavelength division multiplexing optical signal includes N pairs of optical signals. Each pair of optical signals includes a first optical signal and a second optical signal that are of different wavelengths and whose polarizations are orthogonal to each other. N is an integer greater than 1, and a frequency of at least one of N first optical signals and a frequency of at least one of N second optical signals are within a zero-dispersion frequency ZDF region of an optical fiber. The method further includes sending the wavelength division multiplexing optical signal through the optical fiber.

    Abstract: Example systems and nodes are provided. An example system includes a first node, a second node, and an optical fiber that connects the first node and the second node. A zero-dispersion wavelength (ZDW) of the optical fiber belongs to a ZDW region. The optical fiber is configured for transmission of N first-direction wavelength channels and N second-direction wavelength channels. N is an integer greater than 2. At least two first-direction wavelength channels and at least one second-direction wavelength channel, or at least two second-direction wavelength channels and at least one first-direction wavelength channel, are located in the ZDW region. The first-direction wavelength channel and the second-direction wavelength channel that are in the ZDW region are mixedly distributed. The first-direction wavelength channel is sent by the first node to the second node, and the second-direction wavelength channel is sent by the second node to the first node.
