    Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose a board, an optical module, a MAC chip, a DSP, and an information processing method. The board in the embodiments of this application includes a media access control (MAC) chip, a digital signal processor (DSP), and an equalizer. The MAC chip is configured to send first information to the DSP at an optical network unit (ONU) online stage, where the first information includes a first ONU identifier. The DSP is configured to receive the first information, and determine a first reference equalization parameter, where the first reference equalization parameter is related to the first ONU identifier. The DSP is further configured to set an equalization parameter of the equalizer to the first reference equalization parameter.

    Abstract: An Optical Line Terminal (OLT) includes a downstream transceiver coupled to a Passive Optical Network (PON). The downstream transceiver is configured to communicate over a plurality of bonded channels. The OLT also includes an upstream transceiver configured to receive a downstream Service Data Unit (SDU) including user data. A processor is coupled to the upstream transceiver. The processor is configured to split the downstream SDU into a plurality of downstream blocks. The processor distributes the plurality of downstream blocks amongst selected bonded channels based on bonded channel availability for transmission over the PON via the downstream transceiver.

    Abstract: An OLT comprises a processor configured to generate a first message comprising a first field instructing an ONU to report its data rate capability as at least one of 10 Gb/s, 25 Gb/s, or 50 Gb/s; a transmitter coupled to the processor and configured to transmit the first message to the ONU; and a receiver coupled to the processor and configured to receive a second message from the ONU in response to the first message, the second message comprises a second field indicating the data rate capability. A method comprises generating a first message comprising a first field instructing reporting of a data rate capability as at least one of 10 Gb/s, 25 Gb/s, or 50 Gb/s; transmitting the first message; and receiving a second message in response to the first message, the second message comprises a second field indicating the data rate capability.

    Abstract: An Optical Line Terminal (OLT) includes a downstream transceiver coupled to a Passive Optical Network (PON).     Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose an EPON communication method, an ONU, and an OLT. The method includes: generating, by an ONU, a first control frame, where the first control frame includes a first data field, and the first data field includes a bandwidth requirement of the at least one LLID; and sending, by the ONU, the first control frame to an OLT. In addition, the OLT generates a second control frame, where the second control frame includes a second data field, and the second data field includes grant information of the at least one LLID; and the OLT sends the second control frame to the ONU. In the embodiments of the present invention, the first control frame may carry bandwidth requirements of a plurality of LLIDs, so that one first control frame can be used to report bandwidth requirements of a plurality of LLIDs.
