Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an infrared remote control apparatus and a terminal. The infrared remote control apparatus includes an audio codec chip, a transfer switch, and an infrared transmitter. The audio codec chip includes a pair of differential output pins. The infrared transmitter is connected to the differential output pins by using the transfer switch. The audio codec chip is configured to obtain an infrared remote control parameter that includes an envelope length and a carrier frequency of an infrared remote control signal. An infrared remote control signal is generated according to the envelope length and the carrier frequency. When the transfer switch sets up a connection between the infrared transmitter and the differential output pins, the audio code chip is configured to drive, by using the differential output pins, the infrared transmitter to transmit the infrared remote control signal.

Abstract: This application relates to the field of communications technologies, and provides an ambient light detection method and a terminal, to help save top space of a mobile phone, help increase a screen-to-body ratio of the mobile phone, and help improve user experience. The method includes: obtaining, by the terminal, a first luminance value of each first pixel, where each first pixel corresponds to one first luminance value; obtaining, by the terminal, a second luminance value of each region based on first luminance values of all first pixels included in each region, where each region corresponds to one second luminance value; obtaining, by the terminal, a luminance value of current ambient light based on all the second luminance values; and adjusting, by the terminal, luminance of the display based on the luminance value of the ambient light.

Abstract: A method for detecting ambient light by a terminal is provided. The method includes displaying a black picture for at least two times in a first area of a display area of a display screen of a terminal, displaying an image frame picture in a second area of the display area when the black picture is displayed in the first area, displaying the image frame picture in the first area in an interval between displaying the black picture in the first area for two times, and obtaining, by the terminal, an intensity of ambient light, wherein the intensity of the ambient light is detected by a first ambient light sensor when the first area displays the black.

Abstract: This application discloses an infrared light transmit apparatus and a mobile terminal in which the infrared light transmit apparatus is applied.
