Abstract: This application relates to a UWB-based PPDU transmission method and a related apparatus. The method includes: Two communication parties exchange a PPDU. The PPDU includes a preamble sequence. The preamble sequence is obtained by inserting one or more 0s into a sequence in a sequence set. At least some sequences in the sequence set have a zero cross-correlation zone. According to embodiments of this application, anti-interference performance of a UWB system can be improved. This application is applied to a UWB-based wireless personal area network system, a sensing system, or the like, and includes 802.15 series protocols, such as an 802.15.4a protocol, an 802.15.4z protocol, or an 802.15.4ab protocol. This application may also support wireless local area network systems of 802.11 series protocols, such as a next-generation Wi-Fi protocol of 802.11ax, for example, 802.11be, that is, Wi-Fi 7 or EHT, or the next generation of 802.11be, that is, Wi-Fi 8.

Abstract: This application relates to a method for determining a length of an low-density parity-check (LDPC) code word in a ultra-wideband (UWB) system and a related apparatus. The method includes a communication apparatus that determines a length of an LDPC code based on a length of a to-be-encoded information bit. When the length of the information bit ranges from 0 to 324, a 648-bit LDPC code is selected. When the length of the information bit ranges from 325 to 648 or from 973 to 1296, a 1296-bit LDPC code is selected. When the length of the information bit ranges from 649 to 972, a 1944-bit LDPC code is selected. According to embodiments of this application, higher performance gain can be achieved.

Abstract: Example signal transmission methods and apparatus are described. In one example method, a first initiating device sends a poll frame. The poll frame includes time-frequency location information of N first ultra-wideband (UWB) segment signals, and the poll frame further includes first delay information for each of M second responding devices to reply to the first initiating device with a response frame. The first initiating device receives a plurality of response frames based on a timestamp of the poll frame and the first delay information for each of the M second responding devices to reply to the first initiating device with the response frame.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: sending, on a first narrowband channel, a first frame used to trigger data measurement; sending a first UWB signal and receiving a second UWB signal on a first ultra-wideband UWB channel, where the first UWB signal and the second UWB signal are used to perform the data measurement to obtain a data measurement result; and specifically, sending, on a second narrowband channel, a first trigger frame used to trigger reporting of a first measurement result. A trigger frame is delivered to trigger a measurement result reporting procedure. This avoids a reporting failure when the measurement result is directly reported on the first narrowband channel.
