Abstract: A seal monitoring apparatus is provided. The seal monitoring apparatus includes one or more pressure sensors and a controller in communication with the one or more pressure sensors. The one or more pressure sensors is mounted at a seal of a turbine to measure pressure on a first side of the seal and/or a second side of the seal. The controller is configured to receive pressure data from the one or more pressure sensors and determine a condition of the seal based at least in part on the pressure data. The controller is configured to output a signal upon determining a change in the condition of the seal.

Abstract: A turbine engine is provided. The turbine engine defines an axial direction and a radial direction, and includes: a rotor; a stator comprising a carrier; a seal assembly disposed between the rotor and the stator, the seal assembly defining a high-pressure side and a low-pressure side and comprising a plurality of seal segments, the plurality of seal segments including a seal segment having a seal face forming a fluid bearing with the rotor, a lip, and a body, the lip extending from the body along the axial direction of the turbine engine on the high-pressure side and including an outer pressurization surface along the radial direction of the turbine engine; and a seal support assembly, the seal support assembly comprising a spring arrangement extending between the carrier and the first seal segment to counter a pressure on the outer pressurization surface during operation of the turbine engine.

Abstract: A system for use in servicing a machine. The tubular body is configured to be flexible. An actuator is configured to selectively modify an orientation of the tubular body, and a reservoir is in flow communication with the interior channel. The first and second locking structures are configured to lock the FSCS and the SSCS together to form a piston seal.

Abstract: A system for use in servicing a turbomachine, the system including a first tubular body including an interior channel, and a second tubular body. The first and second tubular bodies are bendable between a neutral shape and a biased shape. The bodies are bent when in the neutral shape. The second tubular body includes a tip end, and the second tubular body is translatable within the interior channel. The first tubular body and the second tubular body are rotatable to selectively orient the tip end in multiple degrees of freedom. The system also includes a steering cable extending from the tip end, wherein the steering cable biases the tip end for selective orientation in additional degrees of freedom.

Abstract: A blind shear ram includes an upper carrier including an upper blade and a lower carrier including a lower blade. Abstract: A seal for a blind shear ram is configured to extend between a first carrier and a second carrier of the blind shear ram. The seal includes an elastic layer having a first elasticity. The elastic layer is configured to contact at least one of the first carrier and the second carrier to seal a wellbore when the first carrier and the second carrier are in a closed position. The seal also includes an anti-extrusion structure coupled to the elastic layer. The anti-extrusion structure has a second elasticity less than the first elasticity. The anti-extrusion structure includes a plurality of ribs spaced along a longitudinal axis of the anti-extrusion structure. The plurality of ribs define a plurality of spaces configured to receive portions of the elastic layer.
