Abstract:
A sensor terminal capable of personalizing an external physical device. The sensor terminal includes a control unit that recognizes and uses the external physical device as an internal device. The control unit may include a device object driver to manage a device object of one or more physical device and a profile of the device object; and a device service module to generate the device object of the physical device, and register the generated device object and the profile of the device object in the device object driver. Thus, the sensor terminal may recognize and use the external physical device as if it were the internal device.
Abstract:
A method of comprehensively monitoring slopes based on a wireless network in a sensor node is provided. The method includes acquiring sensing data of first sensing frequencies for determining a risk to the slopes, transmitting the acquired sensing data of first sensing frequencies to an analysis server through a gateway, acquiring sensing data of second sensing frequencies for determining the risk to the slopes when operation mode received from the analysis server through the gateway is precision mode, and transmitting the acquired sensing data of second sensing frequencies to the analysis server through the gateway.
Abstract:
In order to predict power consumption, previous measurements, which indicate the actual amount of power consumed in the past, and errors between previous estimates and the previous measurements, are used as first input data, and power consumption estimates for each prediction technique are simultaneously calculated by using the first input data in at least two prediction techniques. Next, the power consumption estimates calculated by each prediction technique and errors between the power consumption estimates and an actual measurement are used as second input data, and the final power consumption is predicted by making an additional power consumption prediction based on the second input data.
Abstract:
A collar for a wild animal and an apparatus for monitoring/managing the activity of a wild animal are disclosed. The present invention discloses a collar for a wild animal that is capable of collecting the location, habitat, activity environment and activity state information of a wild animal and transmitting the collected information to a remote server. The present invention discloses an apparatus for monitoring/managing the activity of a wild animal that is capable of remotely receiving the location, habitat, activity environment and activity state information of a wild animal measured by a collar for a wild animal, and analyzing and managing the habitat environment and activity state of the wild animal. The collar for a wild animal is capable of being continuously operated for a long period performing operation using energy that can be acquired from an area around a wild animal and at low power.
Abstract:
An aspect of the present invention provides a method for sensing a quality of a mobility link by a system for sensing a quality of a mobility link configured for evaluating a quality of a transmission-attempting link connected with a transmission-attempting node: computing link quality metric values of RSSI, LQI and EXT from transmission packets included in the message; computing a distribution ratio of a fuzzy set corresponding to each of the link quality metric values by applying the computed quality metric values to a quality fuzzy set having their respective quality factor indicators configured therein; computing fuzzy estimator values by classifying and aggregating the computed fuzzy distribution ratio of the quality fuzzy set into a first, a second and a third quality; and evaluating a quality of the transmission-attempting link based on the fuzzy estimator values.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for communication between peer devices in which a cyclic-superframe including a plurality of superframes is used are provided. The method may include: receiving a discovery request command frame including information about a first cyclic-superframe for a peering period at an active contention access period (CAP) of the plurality of superframes; transmitting, to a peer device that has transmitted the discovery request command frame, a discovery response command frame corresponding to the discovery request command frame; and performing the peering period with the peer device based on the first cyclic-superframe.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for determining the location of a mobile object are disclosed. The apparatus includes a GPS module unit, a mobile communication module unit, a USN module unit, and a control module unit. The GPS module unit receives a GPS signal including the coordinate information of the current location of a mobile object. The mobile communication module unit is operated when the GPS module unit has received the GPS signal, and transmits the coordinate information of the current location of the mobile object and the ID of the mobile object to a location estimation apparatus. The USN module unit is operated when the GPS module unit fails to receive the GPS signal, and broadcasts a beacon signal carrying the ID of the mobile object. The control module unit operates any one of the mobile communication module unit and the USN module unit.
Abstract:
In a wireless sensor actuator network system, actuators to be actuated to correspond to a plurality of sensors are selected using an A-S matrix that represents relationship strength between a plurality of actuators and the plurality of sensors based on sensing data of the plurality of sensors, and only the selected actuators determine actuation values based on values of the A-S matrix.
