Abstract: A head-up display device displays a near virtual image and a far virtual image formed at different positions. The head-up display device includes an extension optical element, in addition to a first display surface that luminously displays a near display image and a second display surface that luminously displays a far display image. The extension optical element includes a reflective surface disposed on an optical path of light of the far display image. The extension optical element makes a far optical path distance of the far display image longer than a near optical path distance of the near display image by reflection of light by the reflective surface. The extension optical element has a transmission part that transmits light of the near display image in an area overlapping an optical path of light of the near display image.

Abstract: A head-up display includes a concave mirror actuator that changes, based on external instructions, a reflection angle by which a concave mirror reflects display light. A drawing unit includes a beam generator, a scanner, an optical actuator, and a controller, The beam generator emits a beam, and the scanner scans the beam in two dimensions by moving a reflection surface to draw an image. The optical actuator changes an angle of incidence of when the beam is emitted to the scanner. The controller drives the optical actuator to change the angle of incidence such that display light distortions generated at the concave mirror are offset by display light distortions generated at the scanner.

Abstract: A head-up display device is for projecting display light onto a projection member. The head-up display device includes a display, a reflecting member, an outside light prevention portion, and a state controller. The display emits the display light. The reflecting member reflects the display light emitted from the display in a reflection direction to project the display light onto the projection member. The outside light prevention portion changes between an entering state in which outside light is able to enter the display and a preventing state in which outside light is prevented from entering the display. Abstract: An image synthesizer apparatus for vehicle includes an image generator and an error detector. From multiple cameras arranged to a vehicle so that an imaging region of each camera partially overlaps with an imaging region of an adjacent camera, the image generator acquires images of areas allocated to the respective cameras, and synthesizes the acquired images to generate a synthetic image around the vehicle viewed from a viewpoint above the vehicle. The error detector detects errors in the cameras. When the error detector detects a faulty camera in the cameras, the image generator acquires, from the image captured by the camera adjacent to the faulty camera, an overlap portion overlapping with the image captured by the faulty camera, uses the overlap portion to generate the synthetic image, and applies image reinforcement to the overlap portion.
