Abstract: A water purifier comprising: a filter unit comprising at least one filter filtering water to generate purified water; a flow rate sensor measuring a flow rate of the water; a concentrated water channel discharging concentrated water, having been filtered by the filter unit; an extraction unit extracting the purified water; a flow rate control valve controlling a flow rate of purified water; an opening and closing degree measurement unit, measuring a degree of opening and closing of the flow rate control valve; a concentrated water ratio calculation unit, calculating a ratio between purified water and concentrated water, according to the degree of opening and closing of the flow rate control valve; and a controller, using the flow rate of water and the calculated ratio between purified water and concentrated water, to calculate amounts of water used, integrating the calculated amounts of water, and calculating a lifespan of the filter.

Abstract: Disclosed is a water treatment apparatus which can extract clean water by means of the pressure of raw water. The disclosed water treatment apparatus comprises: a filter part which filters raw water; a storage part which stores clean water filtered by passing through at least a part of the filter part, the storage part having a first chamber and a second chamber of which the volume changes according to a change in the volume of the first chamber; an extraction part which is installed so as to provide the filtered clean water to a user; and an air supply part which is installed on a flow path connected to the storage part in order to supply air to either one of the first chamber or the second chamber of the storage part.

Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, a control method for a water purifier comprises the steps of: filtering inflowing water so as to generate purified water; extracting the generated purified water; measuring the flow rate of the purified water extracted per unit time; flushing a filter part by using purified water generated in the filter part, when the extraction of the purified water is complete; and draining the flushed water to the outside through a residential water outlet of the filter part, wherein, in the purified water generation step, discharging of residential water generated in the purified water generation step is blocked according to the accumulated flow rate during a one-time extraction of the purified water, calculated on the basis of the flow rate of the purified water.
