Abstract: An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry configured to decode a master information block (MIB) using a set of physical broadcast channel (PBCH) symbols received within a downlink frame to obtain system frame number (SFN) information. The downlink frame includes multiple copies of the PBCH symbols within at least three subframes of the downlink frame. A system information block (SIB) may be decoded based on the SFN information, to obtain uplink channel configuration information. Random access channel (RACH) procedure may be performed with a base station (BS) based on the uplink channel configuration information, to obtain an uplink resource assignment. A connection setup completion message can be encoded for transmission to the BS using the uplink resource assignment. The set of PBCH symbols can include a set of four legacy PBCH symbols.

Abstract: An apparatus is configured to be employed within a base station. The apparatus comprises baseband circuitry which includes a radio frequency (RF) interface and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured determine repetition level (RL) thresholds, allocate downlink resources, wherein the downlink resources include a repetition level (RL), send downlink data to the RF interface for transmission to a user equipment (UE) according to the RL, receive repetition feedback from the RF interface based on the transmission to the UE, and update aspects or the allocation of the downlink resources based on the repetition feedback.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, storage media, and systems for delivering UE capability indication to a positioning server in a wireless communication network. A user equipment (UE) or evolved NodeB (eNB) may process and assign narrowband physical uplink shared channel (NPUSCH) resources based on a comparison between a measured narrowband reference signal received power (NRSRP) in a narrowband physical random access channel (NPRACH) transmission and at least one threshold value. Embodiments describe how to configure the NPUSCH transmission utilizing NPRACH procedure at very low receiving Signal-to Noise ratio (SNR) to alleviate negative impacts caused by less accurate NRSRP measurements and/or increased absolute power tolerance at very low receiving SNR scenarios. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, storage media, and systems for UE baseband-demodulation-performance tests in new radio (NR). An over-the-air (OTA) test environment with optimized signaling over the test interface by enabling feedback in the test system may achieve adequate baseband emulation of multipath utilizing NR reference signals. Various embodiments describe how to realize a test loop initialization and achieve better test certainty and controllability over OTA tests.
