摘要: Provided is a fluid dynamic bearing device (1) including a rotary body (2A), a bearing member (22) (sleeve portion) made of a sintered metal arranged on the rotary body (2A), having end surfaces (22b, 22c), a thrust bearing gap formed by a lower end surface (22c) of the bearing member (22), filled with lubricating oil (11), and a thrust dynamic pressure generating portion (B). A dynamic pressure generating action is caused in the lubricating oil in the thrust bearing gap along with rotation of the rotary body (2A) to support the rotary body (2A) in one thrust direction in a non-contact manner. The bearing member (22) has an oil permeability of 4% or more with respect to a mass flow rate of the lubricating oil (11) flowing along the thrust dynamic pressure generating portion (B) during the rotation of the rotary body (2A).

摘要: A fluid dynamic bearing device 1 has a bearing sleeve 8, a shaft member 2 which is inserted in the inner periphery of the bearing sleeve, a housing 7 which is formed by pressing, has the bearing sleeve 8 press-fitted in the inner periphery thereof, and has a stepped section 7d which engages with the end surface of the bearing sleeve and is located ahead in the direction of press-fitting of the bearing sleeve 8, a thrust receiver 9 which is in contact with and supports an end of the shaft member 2, and a seal portion 10 which prevents oil from leaking from the inside of the housing. A dynamic pressure generating groove 8a1 for generating fluid dynamic pressure in a radial bearing gap between the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member 2 and the inner peripheral surface of the bearing sleeve 8 is formed in the inner peripheral surface of the bearing sleeve 8.

摘要: An inner peripheral surface and a lower end surface of a bearing sleeve made of a sintered metal are each formed into a smooth cylindrical surface or a flat surface that does not have a dynamic pressure generating portion. Thus, a step of forming the dynamic pressure generating portion can be omitted from a manufacturing step of the bearing sleeve, and cost of dies can be markedly reduced. Further, the inner peripheral surface of the bearing sleeve is formed into the smooth cylindrical surface, and hence a radial dynamic pressure generating portion is formed on an outer peripheral surface of a shaft member. However, the outer peripheral surface of the shaft portion is accessible to tools, and hence the radial dynamic pressure generating portion can be formed easily with high accuracy. As a result, accuracy of a radial bearing gap is enhanced so that a bearing rigidity is enhanced.

摘要: A dynamic bearing device is provided, which can prevent abrasion powder generated when a sealing member is pushed into an inner circumference of a housing from entering the housing. A sealing member is inserted into an inner circumference of an opening of a housing with an adhesive interposed therebetween The adhesive moving forward in a pushing direction of the sealing member is retained by a capillary action in a lower tapered space between an outer circumference of the sealing member and the inner circumference of the housing. Abrasion powder is captured by the adhesive in the tapered space so as to be confined in the adhesive as a result of the setting of the adhesive.

The housing is formed by a side portion formed through injection molding of a resin material, and a bottom member fixed to a fixing portion provided in the inner periphery at one axial end of the side portion and adapted to close an opening at one axial end of the side portion. The fixing portion is a molding surface formed through solidification, in conformity with the inner surface of the mold, of the resin injected by the injection molding.

摘要: An inner space of a housing sealed with a seal member as well as internal pores of a bearing member (pores in a porous structure) are filled with a lubricating oil without the presence of air, so that the oil surface of the lubricating oil is within a seal space. Under a reduced pressure of 100 Torr, no lubricating oil leaks outside of the housing even at any attitude of the fluid lubricated bearing device such as normal, inverted, or horizontal attitude.

Then, the thrust member is made to relatively move with respect to the housing and the bearing sleeve in the axial direction together with the axis member, with a dimension δ(δ=δ1+δ2) that is equivalent to the sum of the thrust bearing gap (size is δ1) of the first thrust bearing portion and the thrust bearing gap (size is δ2) of the second thrust bearing portion. Then, as the thrust member is fixed to the housing at that position, the predetermined thrust bearing gap δ(δ=δ1+δ2) is formed.

摘要: A hydrodynamic bearing unit is provided, by which the touch between oil and a sealing member in a housing is prevented to prevent oil leakage. A bearing member made of a sintered lubricant-containing metal is disposed along the inner periphery of the housing and a spindle is supported in a non-contact manner by the hydrodynamic oil pressure that is generated in a bearing gap by the rotation of the spindle. The opening of the housing is sealed by the sealing member. A ventilation path is formed so as to communicate a sealed space enclosed by the distal end of the spindle at the bottom of the housing, the bearing member and the housing with open air. An oil reservoir is formed between the inner periphery of the housing and the outer periphery of the bearing member at the end portion of the opening side of the housing. The oil reservoir is made so as to communicate with the ventilation path.
