摘要: A control device of an internal combustion engine performs an air-fuel ratio feedback control to set an air-fuel ratio to a target air-fuel ratio, and determines abnormality of a fuel system based on a feedback correction amount by the air-fuel ratio feedback control. The control device of an internal combustion engine includes: a double tank type oil pan including: an inner tank and an outer tank for storing oil; and a mechanism which switches between connection and disconnection of the inner tank and the outer tank; and a controller configured to control the mechanism to connect the inner tank and the outer tank in a case where the feedback correction amount is equal to or larger than a first predetermined value. Thus, it is possible to prevent the air-fuel ratio from getting rich, and it is possible to appropriately prevent the erroneous determination of abnormality of the fuel system.

摘要: A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine is provided that can successfully achieve a desired acceleration by avoiding an absence of torque of the internal combustion engine due to an influence of EGR gas when the torque increases toward a required torque. A required throttle valve opening degree TAreq is set based on a required torque TQreq in accordance with a required throttle valve opening degree map that defines a relation between the required torque TQreq and the required throttle valve opening degree TAreq. In addition, a required EGR valve opening degree EGRreq is set based on a required load factor KLreq in accordance with a required EGR valve opening degree map that defines a relation between the required load factor KLreq and the required EGR valve opening degree EGRreq.

In a region where the engine load is greater than or equal to the first predetermined value and less than a second predetermined value, both the second exhaust valve and a first exhaust valve that opens and closes a first exhaust passageway that leads to the turbine are opened. In a region where the engine load is greater than or equal to the second predetermined value, only the first exhaust valve is opened. A predetermined value for the time of lean combustion is set lower than a predetermined value for the time of stoichiometric combustion.

摘要: A hybrid vehicle including an engine, a generator capable of generating power by being driven by the engine, an electric motor capable of running on power supplied from the generator, a power split device that transmits output from the engine to a driving wheel and the generator and also transmits output from the electric motor to the driving wheel, and a main ECU that controls an output ratio of the engine and an output ratio of the electric motor using the power split device according to the running state of the vehicle. When the operating mode of the engine is switched between a lean burn operating mode and a stoichiometric burn operating mode, the main ECU selectively increases and decreases the output ratio of the electric motor so that the total output, which is the combined output of the engine and the electric motor, is constant.

摘要: A fuel injection control device for an engine including a cylinder injector and an air intake passage injector is provided. The device changes a fuel injection style, from a compression stroke cylinder injection by the cylinder injector which is executed from a predetermined instant immediately after the beginning of the cold start of engine until a predetermined period has passed, to the combination of an air intake passage injection by the air intake passage injector, an intake stroke cylinder injection and a compression stroke cylinder injection by the cylinder injector which is executed after the predetermined period has passed. During the cold start of engine, the favorable combustion stability is obtained by the compression stroke cylinder injection before the predetermined period has passed, and an amount of HC is reduced after the passage of the predetermined period, promoting warming-up of catalyst.

摘要: A direct cylinder injection-type spark ignition internal combustion engine is disclosed. The internal combustion engine comprises a spark plug 6, a cavity 8 formed in the top surface of the piston, and a fuel injection valve 7 for injecting fuel into said cavity in nearly the shape of a fan having a relative small thickness. A side wall 8b of the cavity opposed to the fuel injection valve for leading the fuel to the vicinity of the spark plug, has a horizontal arcuate shape which is nearly symmetrical to a first vertical plane (N1). The first vertical plane is separated away from a vertical center plane (Nc) at the center of the fuel and is nearly parallel with the vertical center plane.
