摘要: Apparatus and methods are described for setting rehabilitation goals for a patient, measuring patient movements, storing the movement data for later transfer to a computer, displaying progress indicators and inspirational messages based on progress towards goals, reporting movement, skin temperature and swelling data to a caregiver so that they monitor compliance and be aware of potential infection. The invention consolidates data from motion, temperature and swelling sensors placed on the patient with data received directly from the patient in response to questions displayed on a tablet computer screen, to create one or more representative values indicating the patient's current status. These representative values may include the patient's degree of compliance with their prescribed exercise and icing regimen; their degree of wellness based on their self-reported pain scale and sensed temperature and limb swelling; and their current level of physical activity as detected by the motion sensors.

摘要: Methods for determining cardiovascular information for a patient include receiving patient-specific data regarding a geometry of the patient's vasculature; creating an anatomic model representing at least a portion of the patient's vasculature based on the patient-specific data; and creating a computational model of a blood flow characteristic based on the anatomic model. The method also includes identifying one or more of an uncertain parameter, an uncertain clinical variable, and an uncertain geometry; modifying a probability model based on one or more of the identified uncertain parameter, uncertain clinical variable, or uncertain geometry; determining a blood flow characteristic within the patient's vasculature based on the anatomic model and the computational model; and calculating, based on the probability model and the determined blood flow characteristic, a sensitivity of the determined fractional flow reserve to one or more of the identified uncertain parameter, uncertain clinical variable, or uncertain geometry.

摘要: A method of operation of a medical device system for determining prospective heart failure hospitalization risk. The method includes measuring one or more data observations via one or more electrodes of an implanted medical device disposed in a patient's body. The data observations are stored into memory of the implantable medical device of a patient. The data observations are transmitted to an external device. The processor of the external device parses the data observations into one or more evaluation periods. Using the number of observations in one or more evaluation periods, a look up table, stored into memory of the external device, is accessed. The look up table associates prospective heart failure hospitalization risk with the data observations noted in the evaluation period. One or more embodiments involve a weighted prospective heart failure hospitalization risk for the set of evaluation periods. The prospective heart failure hospitalization is then displayed on the graphical user interface.

摘要: A patient monitor configured to receive patient-information electrical signals from an invasive patient sensor and a minimally invasive patient sensor, the patient monitor including a base unit and a detachable user interface unit for displaying hemodynamic parameters determined by the base unit. The base unit and user interface unit can be docked together, tethered together through a cabled connection, or physically separated from one another using wireless communication to transmit and receive information. The base unit and the user interface unit may pair before the user interface unit displays data to link the base unit with the user interface unit. The patient monitor can be configured to switch between invasive and minimally invasive monitoring of hemodynamic parameters of a patient, using invasive measurements to calibrate minimally invasive measurements.

摘要: Representative methods, apparatus and systems are disclosed for determining one or more physiological parameters, such as for ambulatory blood pressure and other vital sign monitoring. A representative system comprises first and second wearable apparatuses to be worn on the user's left and right sides, and any of several types of central vital signs monitors. Another representative system is a handheld, singular apparatus to be held in both hands by the user. Another representative system comprises first and second wearable apparatuses without any additional central vital signs monitor. The various embodiments measure a differential pulse arrival time of left and right arterial pressure waves using corresponding determined features, such as a foot or systolic peak, and using the measured differential pulse arrival time and calibration data, determine at least one physiological parameter such as blood pressure, heart rate, stroke rate, and cardiac output.

摘要: Stenosis information is obtained by obtaining photographic image data (302) from a displayed image of a blood vessel (103, 203) containing the stenosis. Contours of the blood vessel and the stenosis are detected and dimensions are estimated from the photographic image data. A blood vessel model is reconstructed and fractional flow reserve data is calculated using the blood vessel model.
