The display apparatus includes a display including a plurality of light emitting components, a display driver that drives the display by applying a current to the plurality of light emitting components, a storage that stores current intensity information for each of a plurality of display modes providing different color gamuts, and a processor that acquires current intensity information corresponding to a present display mode, among the plurality of display modes, from the storage and controls the display driver to apply the current to the plurality of light emitting components based on the acquired current intensity information.
