When a hybrid power vehicle is parked (step S2), under the circumference that an INVCM judges that a cutting-off component has cut off electric power provided by a third electricity storing device (step S1), the compulsory discharge circuit is controlled to compulsorily discharge the electric charge accumulated in the smoothing capacitor (step S4). When the hybrid power vehicle is running (step S2), under the circumference that the INVCM judges that the cutting-off component has cut off electric power provided by the third electricity storing device (step S1), the compulsory discharge circuit is controlled not to compulsorily discharge the electric charge accumulated in the smoothing capacitor (step S4).
