Crystal defects during anneal are prevented by a low temperature oxide layer on the top surface of the wafer. An integrated circuit formed with the inventive method is also disclosed.

A method for manufacturing a semiconductor device according to the present invention, comprising the steps of: forming a screen oxide layer over the surface of an active region of a semiconductor substrate in which an isolation structure defining the active region is formed; forming a first recess pattern in the active region and a second recess pattern in the isolation structure by etching a gate forming area in the active region and the isolation structure part extended thereto; removing the screen oxide film and simultaneously expanding the width of the second recess pattern; forming a first insulation dielectric layer over the resultant of the substrate having the second recess pattern with the expanded width so that the first insulation dielectric layer is blocked at the upper end thereof in the first recess pattern and it is deposited along the profile in the second recess pattern; forming a second insulation dielectric layer over the first insulation dielectric layer so that the second recess patter is not filled; forming a third insulation dielectric layer over the second insulation dielectric layer so that the second recess pattern is filled; and removing the third, second, and first insulation dielectric layers formed over the active region including the first recess pattern and the isolation structure between the second recess patterns.

The water stream from the liquid cyclone centrifugal separator is directed to at least one de-oiling hydrocyclone separator. The oily water stream is directed back to the production stream for further processing and the water stream is delivered for disposal.

When in a second, deflected condition, the spacer allows the double-faced adhesive to contact the mounting surface such that a bond can be established between the double-faced adhesive and the mounting surface.

The present invention relates to a method of making clips which can be used to engage body tissue for the purpose of closing wounds. Such clips are generally annular in shape and have radially inwardly extending tines. The present invention first forms a precursor which, in one embodiment, has the tines extending radially outwardly from the annular body and then forms the clip by inverting the precursor such that the tines extend radially inwardly. In an alternate embodiment, the precursor is formed with an over-sized lateral dimension and then compressed inwardly to bring the tines closer together and to reduce the lateral dimension of the precursor. It is preferred to manufacture such clips from a superelastic alloy such as nickel-titanium, in which case the inverted or compressed precursor must be heated and quenched to heat set the clip in its final shape.

A method and apparatus are provided for improving the efficiency of an aqueous froth filter. An array of saturated mesh assemblies interacts with an incoming contaminated air stream. As the air stream flows through the saturated mesh assemblies, an aqueous froth is generated immediately downstream of each mesh assembly. As the bubbles of the froth move downstream towards the next saturated mesh assembly, the velocity of the air stream causes at least some of the bubbles to burst. The bursting bubbles rupture into hundreds or thousands of micro-droplets. The micro-droplets are used together with the aqueous froth to coalesce with or otherwise bind with contaminants in the air stream. An optional feature is that massive particles greater than three microns in diameter are removed by inertial impaction, whereby those heavy particles collide with the walls of serpentine shaped vanes of a mist eliminator. The method and apparatus are capable of filtering chemical and biological warfare agents out of an air stream. The invention is also useful in removing contaminants from industrial air streams.

Each equalizer arm assembly or casting is operatively associated with one of the leaf springs such that upon upward movement of the leaf spring, the associated equalizer arm assembly or casting is forced to rotate within the equalizer and to deform a shock absorber provided within the equalizer. The device is oriented so that a thickness dimension of the deck is horizontal, and groups of cards of the deck of cards are ejected in a vertical direction so as to provide a spacing of between a top edge of cards at rest and a bottom edge of the cards being ejected. The time duration of the ejection process is sufficient to effectively randomize the deck of cards. The bond head then picks up the die and heats the die towards temperature T1 so as to melt the solder layer. The solder layer of the die is pressed onto the substrate so as to bond the die to the substrate, and thereafter the bond head is separated from the die so that the solder layer is cooled towards T2 and solidifies.
