Abstract: Electromagnetic shielding about both of electric connectors, which are in a mutually mated state, can be sufficiently carried out by a simple configuration. Shield wall portions composed of electrically-conductive members opposed to contact connecting portions (board connecting portions) of a plurality of contact members arranged in multipolar shapes are provided; electromagnetic shielding functions with respect to the contact connecting portions in the respective electric connectors are obtained well by the respective shield wall portions; and, when both of the electric connectors are mated with each other, the shield wall portions are configured to be in an inner/outer double disposition relation in which they are opposed to each other and efficiently block the gaps between the shield wall portions and wiring boards so that sufficient EMI measures can be expected.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulating body, a number of first terminal modules, a first metal shielding sheet, a second metal shielding sheet, a third metal shielding sheet and a fourth metal shielding sheet. The insulating body includes a mating slot configured to receive at least part of a mating module. The first terminal module includes a terminal group. The first metal shielding sheet, the second metal shielding sheet, the third metal shielding sheet and the fourth metal shielding sheet are disposed around a periphery of the terminal group, thereby improving the shielding effect. The second metal shielding sheet includes a first abutting portion protruding into the mating slot. The first abutting portion is configured to be electrically connected to an end surface of a first metal grounding plate of the mating module. A connector assembly having the electrical connector is also disclosed.

Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes an upper connector unit and a lower connector unit in a vertical direction. Each connector unit includes a contact module received within an insulative housing. The contact module includes an upper contact unit and a lower contacts unit stacked with each other. Each of the upper contact unit and the lower contact unit includes a front/outer contact part and a rear/inner contact part each including a plurality contacts essentially composed of a plurality of differential-pair signal contacts and a plurality of grounding contacts alternately arranged with each other in a the transverse direction wherein the differential-pair signal contacts are stamped and formed from sheet metal and successively integrally formed with a plurality of insulative transverse bars via insert-molding while the grounding contacts are directly blanked from sheet metal and associated with corresponding shielding plates assembled to the insulative transverse bar.

An example can provide a durable power adapter by providing a connector receptacle having a reinforced tongue. The tongue of the connector receptacle can be reinforced by having a center plate with one or more vertical portions that can be at least approximately at a right angle to a lateral portion of the center plate. This and other examples can provide a large amount of power while having a small form factor by providing a space efficient transformer having thermal dissipation components. This and other examples can provide a small form-factor by including a series of chokes formed as a module and including a variety of types of wires.

Abstract: A connector in the present disclosure is a connector to be connected to a mating connector while being connected to a cable in which an outer periphery of a wire is covered with a shield body, and includes an inner conductor and an outer conductor. The inner conductor is connected to a core of a coated wire. The outer conductor includes a large-diameter tube portion, a small-diameter tube portion and a shield connecting portion. The shield connecting portion is connected to the shield body. The large-diameter tube portion is formed into such a tubular shape that a tubular mating outer conductor provided in the mating connector is fittable thereinto. The small-diameter tube portion is formed into a tubular shape having a smaller diameter than the large-diameter tube portion and accommodates the inner conductor.

Abstract: A shielding spring contact includes a flat base portion having a top side and a cutout, and a shielding portion having a wall connected to the flat base portion and encircling the cutout. The wall has an outer side, an inner side, an upper side, and a lower side. The lower side of the wall is arranged on the top side of the flat base portion with the lower side of the wall laterally surrounding the cutout. The top side of the flat base portion bears against a bottom side of an assembly housing portion of a first plug-in connector and the shielding portion projects through a first passage opening in the assembly housing portion. The shielding portion projects through a second passage opening in a shielding housing wall and into a shielding housing of a second plug-in connector, bearing against the shielding housing wall.
