摘要: A mobile generation resource (MGR) comprises a PEM fuel cell stack, hydrogen inputs and a hydrogen bus. A first hydrogen input receives hydrogen at 200 bars pressure which is stored in an onboard hydrogen tank. A second hydrogen input receives hydrogen at a pressure of 100 bars or less. The hydrogen bus, controlled by an MGR computing system, selects either the onboard hydrogen tank or the second hydrogen input as a hydrogen source for the fuel cell stack. A power take-off connection, cable and adapter provide DC electricity produced by the fuel cell stack at a power of at least 50 kilowatts. The MGR computing system communicates with the hydrogen bus and the power take-off connection, cable and adapter. A MGR user app instructs the MGR computing system to select the active source of hydrogen and to direct power produced by the fuel cell stack to the power take-off.

摘要: Provided are methods and systems for combining hydrogen supply and fuel cell processes for increased efficiency of electricity generation. The method may include decomposing methane to produce at least hydrogen, introducing at least a portion of the hydrogen to a fuel cell to generate at least electricity and heat, and capturing at least a portion of the heat from the fuel cell to reduce an electricity requirement for the methane decomposition. The system may include a methane preheater, a reaction system, a hydrogen storage system, a hydrogen fuel cell, and a heat recovery unit. The reaction system may comprise one or more reaction chambers containing a liquid base fluid, carrier droplets and a catalyst, wherein the reaction system is configured to decompose methane. The heat recovery unit may be configured to supply waste heat from the hydrogen fuel cell to the methane preheater.

摘要: Disclosed is a helicopter having a longitudinal axis, a lateral axis and a vertical axis, a helicopter centre of mass and a maximum gross mass of less than 5000 kg, the helicopter comprising a fuselage elongate along the longitudinal axis, the fuselage comprising an aerodynamically shaped shell defining a front, a rear, a top and a bottom of the fuselage and a passenger cabin therein having two forward-facing front seating positions for the pilot and a co-pilot or a passenger, and forward-facing rear seating positions for at least 2 passengers, optionally 3 passengers; a primary fuel cell mounted substantially behind the passenger cabin; the front seating position for the pilot having a centre of mass at a first location substantially in front of the rotor hub location, and the primary fuel cell having a centre of mass at a second location substantially behind the rotor hub location; a landing gear arrangement; a power plant mounted substantially above and behind the passenger cabin, wherein the primary fuel cell is arranged to provide fuel to the power plant; and a secondary fuel cell having a centre of mass at a nose location in front of the rotor hub location by at least 1500 mm.

摘要: An electrochemical cell includes a working electrode, a counter electrode, and an electrolyte covering the working electrode and the counter electrode. The working electrode and the counter electrode are configured so that electrons are supplied from the counter electrode to the working electrode and the working electrode absorbs CO2 in response to a first voltage applied between the working electrode and the counter electrode, and electrons are supplied from the working electrode to the counter electrode and the CO2 is desorbed from the working electrode in response to a second voltage applied between the working electrode and the counter electrode. The working electrode is made of a metal, and a surface of the working electrode that is to be in contact with the CO2 containing gas is covered with an oxide film.

These systems include an enclosure subdivided into a plurality of compartments, a fluid reservoir connected to a fluid manifold, and a plurality of fluid conduits connected through an inlet to the fluid manifold. Compartments include an active metal that reacts with a fluid delivered through the inlets and produces heat and hydrogen gas, which can be captured for heat and for driving a fuel cell.

摘要: The disclosed technology generally relates to energy storage devices, and more particularly to redox batteries. In one aspect, a redox battery comprises a first half cell and a second half cell. The first half cell comprises a positive electrolyte reservoir comprising a first electrolyte contacting a positive electrode and has dissolved therein a first redox couple configured to undergo a first redox half reaction. The second half cell comprises a negative electrolyte reservoir comprising a second electrolyte contacting a negative electrode and has dissolved therein a second redox couple configured to undergo a second redox half reaction. The redox battery additionally comprises an ion exchange membrane separating the positive electrolyte reservoir and the negative electrolyte reservoir. The first half cell, the second half cell and the ion exchange membrane define a redox battery cell that is sealed in a casing.
