Abstract: A magnetic carrier including a magnetic core and a coating resin configured to coat the surface of the magnetic core. The coating resin contains a graft resin A and a graft resin B. The coating resin (i) contains 1.0 mass % or more and 50.0 mass % or less of the graft resin A, and (ii) contains 50.0 mass % or more and 99.0 mass % or less of the graft resin B. The graft resin A has a unit Y1 represented by formula (1) and a unit Y2 represented by formula (2). The graft resin B (i) is a comb-shaped polymer having, as a branch, at least one moiety selected from, for example, a styrene-based polymer moiety and a (meth)acrylate-based polymer moiety, and (ii) contains the polysiloxane structure moiety at a content of 0.1 mass % or less.

Abstract: A developing device includes a developing device case, a developer carrier, a regulating blade, a magnet member, and a blade magnet. The regulating blade forms a regulating part. Toner contains toner mother particles containing binder resin and magnetic powder, and silica particles and alumina particles adhered to surfaces of the toner mother particles. The alumina particles has a primary particle size of 150 nm or more and 400 nm or less, and resistivity of 0.1 Ωm or more and 2 Ωm or less. The developing device can execute a developer removal mode in which the developer carrier is rotated in a reverse direction opposite to a forward direction that is a rotation direction at image forming time, in a range of 1/18 or more and ⅕ or less of an outer circumference length of the developer carrier, so as to remove the developer staying at the regulating part.

The processor controls an operation of the transmitting unit so as to transmit the medium at a first timing when communication with the wireless tag by the communication device is normally executed and controls the operation of the transmitting unit so as to transmit the medium at a second timing different from the first timing when the communication with the wireless tag by the communication device is not normally ended.

The magnetic member is to cause adhesion of the developer in the developing container to the developing sleeve. At least one of lengths of the catch pole or the regulation pole and diameters of both end portions of the catch pole or the regulation pole are less than a length and a diameter, respectively, of the main pole.
