Abstract:
A lid to be connected to a housing of a status display for a sensor, with a basic body comprising a covering surface and at least one side wall, wherein the basic body has at least one light-transmissive light emitting region to facilitate an illumination of desired areas of the lid that is homogeneous and space-saving, with a first reflector unit and a second reflector unit arranged opposite each other, and wherein an opening for arranging a lighting means is formed in the second reflector unit, wherein the light emitted by the lighting means is reflected to the at least one light emitting region by means of the first reflector unit and the second reflector unit.
Abstract:
In an indicating-needle type meter device, when starting excitation of a stepping motor, a controller sets the phase of an excitation signal to a predetermined excitation start position and returns the phase of the excitation signal by a predetermined reversal angle such that an indicating-needle rotates in the backward direction, thereby positioning the indicating-needle at a stopper position. Subsequently, the controller advances the phase of the excitation signal by an origin return angle to rotate the indicating-needle in the forward direction to an origin position apart from the stopper position by a predetermined angle, thereby positioning the indicating-needle at the origin position. Here, the origin return angle is an angle obtained by adding a backlash angle, a predetermined positive pre-offset angle, and a positive placing error correction angle set based on a placing error of the indicating-needle with respect to the stopper.
Abstract:
A photo scaling guide or system configured to scale both the area and linear dimensions of wounds or objects at the same time with one device.
Abstract:
A circuit breaker is disclosed that provides a warning that the current through the circuit breaker exceeds a warning threshold. The circuit breaker comprises: a switch that carries a current I; an indicator for alternatively indicating: (i) that the current I has not exceeded IW, and (ii) that the current I has exceeded IW; and an actuator in series with the switch that: (i) causes the indicator to indicate that the current I has exceeded IW when and only when the current I has exceeded IW, and (ii) opens the switch when and only when the current I exceeds IT; wherein 0
Abstract:
An apparatus for increasing the visibility of an aircraft winglet comprising a saddle piece configured to fit on top of a winglet, the saddle piece comprising a horizontal strap configured to fit around a trailing edge of the winglet, an anchor member comprising a horizontal strap configured to fit around a trailing edge of the winglet, and an adjustable strap connecting the saddle piece to the anchor member. The anchor member is situated on the winglet a certain distance below the saddle piece, and the adjustable strap adjusts the vertical distance between the saddle piece and the anchor member.
Abstract:
A force-feedback plane slide input device includes: a base body having a housing space formed in a rectangular shape; a slider configured to move within the housing space along a plane including a first direction and a second direction which are orthogonal to each other; an operation member integrally provided with the slider; a first actuating member configured to be actuated by movement of the operation member in the first direction; a second actuating member configured to be actuated by movement of the operation member in the second direction; and a force-feedback unit configured to feed back a sense of force to an operator. The slider includes a first slider member and second slider member. A length of an edge in the first direction of the housing space is substantially the same as a width in the first direction of the second slider member.
Abstract:
A light-guide device has a plurality of light-guide elements belonging to a body made as a single piece. The body has at least one supporting element, which joins the light-guide elements to one another and has an outer surface, on which an opaque coating adheres so as to absorb the light entering, in use, into the supporting element from the light-guide elements.
Abstract:
A ballscrew assembly for an actuator is provided. In an embodiment, the ballscrew assembly includes a ball nut assembly including a view port; a ballscrew provided within at least a portion of the ball nut assembly; an inner rod provided within the ballscrew in the direction of the longitudinal axis, the inner rod including an enlarged end portion; and a compression mechanism, such that at least a portion of the compression mechanism is provided between the enlarged end portion and the ballscrew. In another embodiment the assembly is configured such that when the inner rod is in a failed state, the compression mechanism provides a force that moves the visual indicator toward the view port. In another embodiment, the assembly includes a proximity sensor in addition to, or in lieu, of a view port to detect a failure.
Abstract:
An analogue gauge for use in a vehicle instrument panel is provided. The analogue gauge includes, but is not limited to, an analogue indicator overlying a first substrate and graphics aligned with the analogue indicator. The graphics are generated using a display device. The graphics change depending on a driving condition or the position of the analogue indicator.
Abstract:
A counter including a body (460), and first and second rotary counter elements (410, 420) assembled in the body (460). The first counter element (410) co-operating with an actuator member (1430) on each actuation and including an interconnection for interconnecting with the second counter element (420). The interconnection is actuated on every tenth actuation. The first counter element (410) is provided with a first peripheral edge portion (412) including counter indices and a first set of teeth. The second counter element (420) is provided with a second peripheral edge portion (422) including counter indices and with a third set of teeth. The peripheral edge portions (412, 422) are radially coplanar and have a different axis. The counter elements (410, 420) have offset and parallel axes of rotation offset and are urged into contact with each other at a point that is situated at a common counter and/or display zone.
