摘要: Disclosed is a staged-air burner device capable of high energy efficiency, high flame stability, combusting multiple readily switchable fuels ranging from pure hydrogen, to any hydrogen/methane mixture, to pure methane, and generating a low level of NOx. The burner device can include: a primary air chamber receiving a primary air and a flue gas; a burner tube capable of receiving a fuel jet and drawing in the air-flue gas mixture from the primary air chamber; a burner tip discharging the fuel-air-flue gas mixture formed in the burner tube to a first combustion zone and a second combustion zone via center orifices and side orifices on the burner tip, respectively; and a staged air chamber receiving staged air and discharging it via staged air ports into a third combustion zone. Combustion of the fuel occurs in at least one of the first, second, and third combustion zones.

The first burner is connected to a fuel gas supply, the fan is designed to supply the first burner with combustion air and the first burner is designed to output a flame into the radiant tube. The fuel gas supply is connected to a hydrogen source as a fuel gas source and a secondary burner is connected downstream in the radiant tube spaced apart from the first burner functioning as the primary burner in the flame direction. The fuel gas supply thereof is connected to a hydrogen source as a fuel gas source and the exhaust gas flow of the upstream primary burner is supplied to the secondary burner as combustion air.

摘要: Oxygen carriers for chemical looping and scalable methods of preparation thereof. Wet impregnation of active metal precursors into porous substrates, together with selective adsorption of the precursors on the pore surfaces, enables transition metal oxides derived from the precursors to disperse throughout the substrate, even at the nanoscale, without increased sintering or agglomeration, thereby forming oxygen carriers suitable for chemical looping. The porous substrate can be an oxide, for example SiO2. The oxygen carriers can comprise relatively large oxide loadings of over about 20 wt. % and exhibit high reactivity over many regeneration cycles with substantially no loss in oxygen transport capacity or decrease in kinetics. The use of multiple transition metal oxides, for example NiO in addition to CuO, can greatly enhance chemical looping performance.

Particularly, the industrial premixed gas combustor using internal exhaust gas recirculation includes: a fuel chamber that is provided in the central part of the interior of an injection block surrounded with an output end of the oxidizer supply chamber; an injection block that has a plurality of injection channels where oxidizers are introduced from the oxidizer supply chamber 10 and fuel and the oxidizers are mixed and injected; an orifice for fuel injection that is provided in-between the fuel chamber of the injection block and each of the injection channels, and injects fuel inside the fuel chamber to the injection block; and an internal recirculation tube that is formed to be spaced apart from the outer surface of the output end of the oxidizer supply chamber at a predetermined interval and to extend toward the outlet, and recirculates exhaust gas due to combustion.

摘要: A system and method uses a combustor and gasifier to burn a primary dirty fuel, such as waste materials or high-polluting fossil fuels, and a secondary low-polluting fuel, such as biomass fuels, for co-generation of electricity while reducing harmful emissions. The primary fuel is burned at least partially through the use of an improved burner tube. Dirty exhaust from a combustor is scrubbed by a gasifier by reforming the combustors exhaust gases into a clean-burning producer gas (syn-gas). The secondary fuel and oxygen are added to the dirty exhaust in the gasifier to create gas, char and ash. The gas powers an engine or turbine that turns a generator, or a boiler, Stirling engine, or Organic Rankine Cycle power plant, and releases a cleaner exhaust.
