摘要: A body 1 and a cover 2 form a valve casing. An inlet 5, a valve chamber 4, and an outlet 7 are formed in the valve casing. A valve seat member 9 is attached to the lower portion of the valve chamber 4. A discharge passage 8 that communicates the valve chamber 4 with the outlet 7 is formed to the valve seat member 9. A float 11 that is moved away from and seated on the valve seat member 9 to open and close the discharge passage 8 is disposed in the valve chamber 4. An operation member 14 whose tip end is disposed in the discharge passage 8 is provided to be externally operable in the forward and backward directions. A valve member 16 that communicates between the periphery anterior to and the periphery posterior to the middle portion of the operation member 14 when the operation member 14 is in the advanced position and that blocks the periphery anterior to and the periphery posterior to the middle portion of the operation member 14 from one another when the operation member 14 is in the most retracted position is provided to the middle portion of the operation member 14. A blow passage 17 is formed to communicate the periphery posterior to the valve member 16 of the operation member 14 with the outside distinct from the outlet 7.

摘要: An expansion tank to be connected to a pipe system filled or with a liquid is disclosed. The expansion tank includes at least one connection opening for a liquid pipe. The tank has a main valve to close off the connection opening at a defined difference in pressure between the interior of the tank and the connection opening and/or at a defined liquid level in the tank. The tank also has an additional valve for closing off a channel extending through the closure member of the main valve from the interior of the tank to the connection opening. The additional valve is closed during normal operation of the expansion tank and is open if the difference in pressure between the interior of the tank and the connection opening is higher than the original pressure in the expansion tank.

摘要: A condensate removal device for capturing, measuring and removing condensate from a fluid system having air or gas under pressure. The device purges only condensate on demand without loss of relative pressure inherent within the system. A single sensing probe extends into a condensate collection reservoir sensing the low and high level of condensate activating a diaphragm type discharge value venting condensate from the reservoir. Once condensate levels fall below a pre-determined level within the reservoir the value is closed awaiting accumulation of additional condensate before cycling again.

摘要: An automatic drain valve for discharging accumulations of condensables and foreign materials from a pneumatic system. The drain valve (10) comprises a reservoir (14) defining an inlet (30) and an outlet (86) for flow-through communications with a pneumatic system. A pilot valve (41) is mounted in the reservoir (14) for selectively communicating pressurized air to a valve operator housed in the base portion (18) of the reservoir (14), such that the valve operator selectively opens and closes a drainage valve (82) communicating with the outlet (88) of the reservoir (14) for selective draining the reservoir. The pilot valve (41) includes a sensor tube (42) which defines a valve seat (44) and includes a magnetized valve plug (46) for selectively engaging the valve seat (44), the valve plug (46) having a selected magnetic polarity. A level sensing float (52) disposed within the reservoir (14) carries an annular magnet (56) normally having a polarity opposite that of the valve plug ( 46) such that the annular magnet (56) acts upon the valve plug (46) selectively opening and closing the pilot valve (41) as the float (52) rises and falls from a raised position to a lower position with the level of liquid within the reservoir (14).

摘要: This invention pertains to a float and thermostatic steam trap with an improved mechanism less subject to failure than previous designs. In this design the venting and trapping functions are served by the same valve and a thermostatic actuator acts on the float or float linkage when temperature is below a predetermined value. In normal operation the float controls the discharge of condensate and the thermostatic actuator is out of contact with the float assembly and therefore is free to move. When the temperature within the trap housing drops below the predetermined value, the thermostatic actuator engages the float assembly, forces the valve opening and raises the float above the condensate level. This allows the removal of condensate and of the noncondensible gasses from the trap. This design eliminates the stressing of the thermostatic actuator by static or vibration loads at high temperatures and thereby reduces the fatigue failure of the actuator. At the same time, as the float is raised out of the water, the water level is lowered or completely drained, thereby reducing corrosion exposure during shutdown. In the embodiments wherein the housing is completely drained by the thermostatic actuator frost protection is provided and the accumulation of solids within the housing is prevented by flushing action.
