摘要: Segmented sprocket systems and methods for installing the segmented sprocket systems for use in numerous different applications such as, but not limited to, industrial sprockets. The present invention may be a segmented sprocket system including two or more relatively thin sprockets (100) that are installed together on a common hub (200) such that the two or more sprockets form a composite sprocket having a width approximately equal to the sum of the width of the individual sprockets. A segmented sprocket system may include a hub; at least two sprockets having the same outer diameter and an interior opening having a diameter approximately equal to the outer diameter of the hub; wherein the at least two sprockets are positioned on the hub such that each sprocket abuts a neighboring sprocket, thus resulting in a composite sprocket structure.

摘要: A gear-based mechanical metamaterial with continuously adjustable elastic parameters in a large range is provided. The gear-based mechanical metamaterial includes a gear array, a frame and connecting shafts. The gear array is formed by periodically extending mechanical metamaterial cells along an x direction and a y direction. Each of the mechanical metamaterial cells is formed by arranging a multiple gears. Adjacent gears of the multiple gears are meshed with each other. Each of the multiple gears includes a center hole and two centrosymmetric irregularly-shaped holes. A thickness of an elastic arm between the each of two centrosymmetric irregularly-shaped holes and an outer wall of a corresponding one of the multiple gears is uniformly increased or decreased. Each of the connecting shafts is arranged in a center hole of a corresponding one of the multiple gears.

摘要: Separate structural units for an inner gear and a housing of a planetary gear device include an inner gear with a first raised portion formed on the outer peripheral surface of the inner gear, where the first raised portion extends towards in a direction that is inclined with respect to the axial direction of the inner gear. A housing includes a second raised portion formed on an inner peripheral surface, where the second raised portion extends in a direction that is inclined in respect to the axial direction. The housing contains the inner gear such that there is a gap formed between the inner peripheral surface of the housing and the outer peripheral surface of the inner gear. Movement of the inner gear within the interior of the housing is limited through linear contact of the first raised portion and the second raised portion.

摘要: A gear has a gear body made of a first plastic material. The gear body has an axis of rotation, external toothing arranged around an axis of rotation, a centrally located receiving opening, and an intermediate portion located between the external toothing and the wall of the receiving opening. The gear body is fixedly integrally formed on a support body, which is arranged at least partially in the intermediate portion and is made of a second plastic material having a higher stiffness and lower elasticity than the first plastic material, such that surface portions of the external toothing, of the wall of the receiving opening, of the intermediate portion, and of the support body form a substantially flat end face of the gear. The external toothing is helical toothing with teeth which, at least in portions, extend at a helix angle to the axis of rotation.

摘要: A medical device drive system can include a rotational input, a coupling member engaged with the rotational input, a first gear having an engagement feature sized and shaped to engage with the coupling member, and a second gear coupled with the first gear, the second gear coupled to a movable element. The system can have a first system state and a second system state. In the first system state the coupling member is not engaged with the engagement feature and the first gear rotates without moving the coupling member. In the second system state the coupling member is engaged with the engagement feature of the first gear and rotation of the rotational input turns the coupling member, the first gear, and the second gear to move the movable element.
