    摘要: A tapered fastener adapted to be installed in an unthreaded, tapered hole in a workpiece formed of a cast material is provided. The tapered fastener can have a head and a shank. The shank can have a tapering outer face with substantially the same tapering angle as the tapered hole in the workpiece. A thread forming screw thread in the tapering outer face forms threads in the unthreaded, tapered hole as the head drives the shank into the workpiece.

    摘要: A cap system for enclosing a metallic fastener assembly extending through a structure, which includes a first securement mechanism positioned about a periphery of a nut member of the metallic fastener assembly, wherein the first securement mechanism comprises a plurality of continuous grooves which extend about the periphery of the nut member. The cap system further includes a cap member which includes a sidewall having an inner surface which defines a cavity dimensioned to receive the nut member and defines a second securement mechanism complementary configured to engage the first securement mechanism positioned about the periphery of the nut member.     摘要: A threaded sleeve for assembling with heat input in a component manufactured by FDM process is provided. The threaded sleeve includes a groove along its longitudinal axis. Further, the outwardly facing surface of the threaded sleeve includes a self-tapping thread which is divided into two sections along the threaded sleeve's longitudinal axis. The first section includes a constant pitch diameter and the second area comprises a pitch diameter decreasing along its longitudinal axis. The inwardly facing surface of the threaded sleeve comprises a metric thread. Furthermore, a kit, a system and a method for assembling with heat input the above-mentioned threaded sleeve in a component manufactured by FDM process is provided.
