    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a gas turbine plant which decomposes ammonia into a decomposition gas including hydrogen and supplies the decomposition gas as fuel to a combustor of the gas turbine. The gas turbine plant supplies sufficient heat to the ammonia in order to thermally decompose the ammonia effectively and separates the residual ammonia present in the decomposition gas and supplies the decomposition gas to a combustor of the gas turbine.

    Abstract: An ultra-efficient turbo-compression cooling system links an organic Rankine power cycle and a vapor compression cooling cycle using a turbine and compressor that shares a single shaft and further linked to an evaporative condenser. The power cycle implements a waste heat exchanger configured to evaporate a working fluid and a turbine configured to receive the evaporated working fluid. The turbine has a plurality of vanes disposed around a central shaft and configured to rotate as the working fluid expands to a lower pressure within the turbine. An evaporative condenser then condenses the working fluid to a saturated liquid and a mechanical pump pumps the saturated liquid to reenter the waste heat waste heat exchanger. The cooling cycle implements a compressor configured to increase the pressure of the working fluid, with the evaporative condenser (shared with the power cycle) configured to condense the working fluid to a saturated liquid upon exiting the compressor, an expansion valve wherein the working fluid expands to a lower pressure, and an evaporator rejecting heat from a circulating fluid to the working fluid, thereby cooling the circulating fluid.

A method of operating an electrolyzer in a combined cycle power plant comprises operating a steam system to convert water to steam, operating an electrolyzer in a standby mode, the electrolyzer configured to convert water and electricity to hydrogen and oxygen when the electrolyzer is in an operating mode, circulating water from the steam system through a heat exchanger, circulating a first heat transfer medium between the electrolyzer and the heat exchanger, and circulating a second heat transfer medium between the heat exchanger and a thermal storage container.

    Abstract: A power production facility comprises a combined cycle power plant comprising a gas turbine engine configured to compress air for combustion with a fuel in a combustor to produce exhaust gas that can be used to produce rotational shaft power for generating electricity and a steam system configured to produce steam from water with the exhaust gas to rotate a steam turbine for generating additional electricity, an electrolyzer configured to generate H2 and O2, wherein the electrolyzer is configured to provide the H2 to the combustor for combustion and the O2 to portions of the gas turbine engine, and a heat exchanger configured to receive the O2 and fluid from the steam system and to heat the O2 before passing the O2 into portions of the gas turbine engine.
