摘要: A fabric has enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing. The fabric can be denim for denim apparel such as jeans. Software and lasers are used to finish apparel made of the fabric to produce a desired wear or distressing pattern or other design. The fabric allows for relatively fast color change in response to the laser, color changes in hue from indigo blue to white, many grayscale levels, and maintains strength and stretch properties. A method used to make the fabric includes spinning, dyeing, and weaving yarns in such a way to obtain the desired enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing.

摘要: A fabric processing method of the present disclosure includes an attaching step of attaching a carboxylic anhydride to a fabric containing cellulose, and an esterification step of esterifying a hydroxyl group of the cellulose, in which, in the esterification step, the carboxylic acid is introduced into the cellulose through an ester bond. A molecular weight of the carboxylic anhydride preferably is 1000 or less.

摘要: Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. A technique includes using machine learning to create or extract a laser input file for wear pattern from an existing garment. Machine learning can be by a generative adversarial network, having generative and discriminative neural nets. The generative adversarial network is trained and then used to create a model. This model is used generate the laser input file from an image of the existing garment with the finishing pattern. With this laser input file, a laser can re-create the wear pattern from the existing garment onto a new garment.

摘要: A method for printing a three-dimensional object includes printing a first color layer having a first color in a first region of a three-dimensional object, printing a second color layer having a second color in a second region of the three-dimensional object, printing a first structural layer directly onto the first color layer, the first structural layer having a first structural thickness which in combination with a first color thickness forms a first target thickness, and printing a second structural layer directly onto the second color layer, the second structural layer having a second structural thickness which in combination with a second color thickness forms the first target thickness. The first color thickness and the second color thickness are different, and the first structural thickness and the second structural thickness are different.

One method includes printing a color layer of the three-dimensional object onto a region of the base. The color layer has a color thickness corresponding to a selected color intensity of a color. The method also includes determining a structural thickness for a structural layer of the three-dimensional object by calculating a difference between the color thickness and a target thickness of the three-dimensional object. The target thickness is greater than the color thickness. The method further includes printing the structural layer having the structural thickness directly onto the color layer.
