Abstract: A scarifying rig may be mounted on the surface of a floating roof to move about the perimeter of the roof. The rig comprises a trolley, one or more support rails fixed on the trolley, and a horizontal arm mounted on the support rails for controlled movement along the support rails. A vertical rail is attached substantially to the end of the horizontal arm for reciprocating vertical movement (up and down) about the end of the horizontal arm. A nozzle assembly is mounted to the vertical rail.

Abstract: A sampling device includes a pig-retaining pipe, a plurality of pipes extensions, a plurality of pipe couplings, a winch and support jig, a sample spout, a bottom cap, a pig, and a cable. A storage tank holds product-fuel, water, sludge, and a hard volume. The sampling device is used to collect and sample contents of the storage tank. The sampling device is assembled with the pig attached to a bottom cap coupled to the pig-retaining pipe. The sampling device is inserted into the storage tank to the desired depth. Contents of the storage tank enter into the sampling device through openings in the pig-retaining pipe. The winch is used to pull the cable upwards and draw the pig up through the sampling device. As the pig is pulled upwards, contents exit through the sample spout. The contents are stored in a container that is sent to a laboratory for analysis.

Abstract: A batten bar is configured to secure first and second adjacent flat panels to a structural framework. The batten bar includes first and second inside legs, first and second outside legs, and a plurality of apertures disposed along the length of the batten bar. The first and second inside legs define a central channel. The first outside leg and the first inside leg define a first seal recess configured to receive and retain a first seal. The second outside leg and the second inside leg define a second seal recess configured to receive and retain a second seal. In an installed configuration, the first inside leg and the first outside leg are configured to contact the first flat panel along a first common plane, and the second inside leg and second outside leg contact the second panel along a second common plane.

Abstract: A full contact pontoon floating deck is revealed. An upper and a lower assembly grooves are disposed concavely on an upper and a lower ends of each of two sides of a pontoon respectively. A connecting rod is connected to the two pontoons by upper connecting members and lower connecting members. One end of the upper connecting member and one end of the lower connecting member are connected to the upper and the lower assembly grooves of the pontoon respectively by upper and lower assembly members while an upper and a lower connecting portions on the other end of the upper and the lower connecting members are connected to an upper and a lower connecting grooves of the connecting rod respectively. Thereby the tight connection forms a fully-sealed design with good support strength. No vapor space is formed so that environmental requirements are met.
