Abstract: An airbag device includes: an inflator generating gas at a time of a collision of a vehicle; and an airbag to which the gas is supplied, and that inflates and expands from a seat rear side of an upper portion of a vehicle seat toward a seat front side, and slips-through between a ceiling of a vehicle cabin and a head of a passenger seated in the vehicle seat. Abstract: An airbag device includes an inflator that is installed in an upper part of a vehicle seat, and that generates gas in an event of a vehicle collision, an airbag to which the gas from the inflator is supplied, and is inflated and deployed from the upper part of the vehicle seat toward a front side of the vehicle seat, and a diffuser that distributes the gas to the airbag. The diffuser includes a connecting portion that is connected to the inflator, and a plurality of branching portions that each branch from the connecting portion and connect to the airbag. The diffuser includes a silencing portion in at least the branching portions. The silencing portion reduces sound pressure of the gas.

Abstract: A device for restraining a passenger in a relaxed position for a vehicle seat and a method for controlling the device are configured such that when a seated passenger in an autonomous vehicle enters a relaxed mode, and thus is seated in a relaxed posture in the vehicle seat, and when a vehicle speed is greater than or equal to a predetermined speed, the device automatically operates such that legs of the seated passenger can be restrained, thereby effectively protecting the passenger in the relaxed position if an accident occurs. The device includes a rod member coupled to a seat cushion and configured to have a variable length; and a support foam connected to one end of the rod member and positioned in front of the seated passenger to restrain the legs of the seated passenger.

Abstract: A vehicle seat includes a backrest, a seat pan, and an airbag having two components placed on sides of the seat. Each component includes an airbag cushion and a strap sewn to the airbag cushion. The strap is fixed to an upper area of the backrest and an anti-submarining hump of the seat pan. The backrest includes a seat cushion and a rigid shell surrounding the seat cushion. Each strap passes between the seat cushion and the shell. The seat includes a seat belt provided with a retractor fixed to the backrest and placed inside a receiving portion delimited by a front casing located in a backrest upper area, the shell covers the front casing, thereby forming a space between them to pass the strap of one of the two components in the backrest upper area, and the shell delimiting the receiving portion to the rear.

A length dimension along the lap belt portion of a joining region in which the airbag and the lap belt portion are joined is shorter than a length dimension along the lap belt portion of the bag main body portion in a folded state.
