摘要: A method of exhaust gas scrubbing includes providing recycled concrete fines as a waste material rich in carbonatable Ca and/or Mg phases and with d90≤1000 μm and a Rosin-Rammler slope n from 0.6 to 1.4 , injecting the waste material into an exhaust gas stream containing CO2 and/or SOx for reaction with CO2 and/or SOx at a relative humidity of 50 to 100 Vol.-% and a temperature from 40 to 130° C. in an amount of dry waste material ranging from 5 to 30 kg/m3, withdrawing a partly carbonated and/or sulphurized waste material and purified exhaust gas, and recycling a part of the partly carbonated and sulphurized waste material while the remainder is discharged, as well as use of a waste material slurry for exhaust gas cleaning of CO2 and/or SOx.

摘要: A carbon dioxide separator includes an absorption tower for producing a carbon dioxide-rich absorbent and a carbon dioxide-depleted flue gas by reaction of a carbon dioxide-containing flue gas and an absorbent contained therein; a regeneration tower for removing the carbon dioxide-rich absorbent transferred from the absorption tower in the presence of the flowing gas to separate the same into a carbon dioxide-rich treatment gas and a carbon dioxide-lean absorbent; and a separation membrane module for selectively membrane-separating and concentrating the carbon dioxide, wherein the carbon dioxide-containing flue gas is transferred to the absorption tower as a carbon dioxide-lean flue gas obtained via the separation membrane module, and the flowing gas is transferred to the regeneration tower as the carbon dioxide-rich flue gas obtained via the separation membrane module from the carbon dioxide-containing flue gas.

摘要: The present invention describes the process of preparing ceramic materials for absorption of acidic gases, mainly carbon dioxide, in exhaust systems and/or present indoors. Ceramic materials are formed by a mixture of alkali carbonate with alkaline earth metal oxide/hydroxide associated with a binding component, but non-limiting. The alkali carbonate comprises sodium, potassium carbonate, or a mixture of both. The alkaline earth metal oxide/hydroxide may be formed from magnesium oxide or magnesium hydroxide as well as calcium oxide and/or calcium hydroxide.

摘要: Systems and methods for generating power using hydrogen fuel, such as derived from natural gas, are provided. Feed materials are introduced into a compact hydrogen generator to produce carbon dioxide, hydrogen gas and steam. Sorbent material within the compact hydrogen generator acts to absorb carbon dioxide, forming a used sorbent. Hydrogen gas and steam are separated from the used sorbent and passed to a power generator such as a hydrogen turbine to produce power. The used sorbent is introduced into a calciner and heated to desorb carbon dioxide and form a regenerated sorbent which can be recycled to the compact hydrogen generator.

An off-gas from the pressure swing absorber is divided with a first portion sent back into a reforming reactor and a second portion sent to a heat generator for the reforming process. The first off-gas portion from the pressure swing absorber can be pressurized by a compressor and reintroduced into a fluidized bed reactor.

摘要: A carbon dioxide separation recovery method includes: bringing a particulate carbon dioxide adsorbent and a treatment target gas containing carbon dioxide into contact with each other to make the carbon dioxide adsorbent adsorb the carbon dioxide contained in the treatment target gas; and bringing the carbon dioxide adsorbent which has adsorbed the carbon dioxide and superheated steam into contact with each other to desorb the carbon dioxide from the carbon dioxide adsorbent and thereby regenerate the carbon dioxide adsorbent, and recovering the desorbed carbon dioxide. A saturation temperature of the superheated steam which is brought into contact with the carbon dioxide adsorbent is not more than a temperature of the carbon dioxide adsorbent which contacts the superheated steam. The regenerated carbon dioxide adsorbent is utilized for adsorption of the carbon dioxide again without being subjected to a drying step.

摘要: A sorbent composition that is useful for injection into a flue gas stream of a coal burning furnace to efficiently remove mercury from the flue gas stream. The sorbent composition may include a sorbent with an associated ancillary catalyst component that is a catalytic metal, a precursor to a catalytic metal, a catalytic metal compound or a precursor to a catalytic metal compound. Alternatively, a catalytic metal or metal compound, or their precursors, may be admixed with the coal feedstock prior to or during combustion in the furnace, or may be independently injected into a flue gas stream. A catalytic promoter may also be used to enhance the performance of the catalytic metal or metal compound.

摘要: A rotor wind turbine blades with attached mantle peridotite panel available to capture CO2 in air while the blades are rotating powers by the wind. Due to presence of Ca+ and Mg+ in the mantle peridotite glass cell, the panel composed of glass cells can conduct sequestration of carbon dioxide in air and the product of CO2 sequestration is mineralized carbon. Another means of CO2 sequestration in air is by placing the mantle peridotite panel at the top of the wing structure of plane and capture the CO2 while the plane is flying.

摘要: Sorbent compositions including sorbent particles of a small particle sized sorbent with increased pneumatic conveyance properties. The sorbent compositions have relatively small median particle size and have a controlled particle size distribution (PSD). Specifically, the sorbent compositions include a relatively small percentage of very fine particles, such as a small percentage of particles having a particle size of not greater than about 5 μm. The sorbent compositions are particularly useful for the treatment of a flue gas stream to remove mercury from the flue gas stream.
