摘要： A roulette game apparatus for modifying a roulette wheel having a base with a central axial shaft and an inner roulette game ring mounted for rotational motion about the central axial shaft, the inner roulette game ring having an upper side, a lower side and a radially outer edge, the upper side of the inner roulette game ring including a plurality of circumferentially spaced roulette game pockets adjacent to the radially outer edge thereof, the roulette game apparatus comprising: a central cone mounted for rotational motion about the central axial shaft independently of the inner roulette game ring, the central cone including a marker thereon, the marker being disposed on the upper side of the central cone at a radially inner position relative to the radially outer edge of the central cone; and a plurality of raised portions protruding from the upper side of the central cone at a radially inner position relative to the radially outer edge of the central cone, wherein the marker on the upper side of the central cone is positioned in radial alignment with a single roulette pocket of the plurality of circumferentially spaced roulette game pockets on the inner roulette game ring responsive to the central cone coming to a rest subsequent to the central cone rotating about the central axial shaft.

摘要： A method for using a roulette mechanism where a ball is launched onto a rim having a central opening and a face around which balls travel until falling pockets distributed around a central cone. The pockets are configured hold the balls. The pockets correspond to unique identifiers on the roulette wheel. The cone includes an edge, sub-pockets under the edge and a motor. The edge stops a ball in a pocket. The motor raises and lowers the edge so that ball move from a pocket to the sub-pocket. When a ball falls into a pocket the ball is moved to a sub-pocket. The outcome for the ball is indicated based on the pocket and then more balls are launched while the ball is in the sub-pocket.

The gaming system is set up such that in the event of the first outcome the game outcome generator is caused to determine and show one of the plurality of chance game outcomes and wagers placed by a player are settled based on the nominal value of each placed token in accordance with the set of predefined wagering rules; in the event of the second outcome the pre-determined wagered amount is lost; the feature entry probability is determined by a calculation that takes account of the ratio of the pre-determined wagered amount to the total nominal value of each placed token. A gaming method is also described. The game is for example roulette.
