Abstract: The present invention relates to a non-automated apparatus for manipulating and reducing closed fractures of the ulna and radius at the level of the wrist in children and adults, which consists of a bar (1) designed to be able to position the fractured limb on the bar, the other nine parts of the apparatus being custom assembled according to the measurement of the forearm or writ to be manipulated, enabling a single person to reduce the fracture using three phases or movements of the device. The design and materials from which the apparatus is made allow the mentioned fractures to be reduced and safety stops are provided to prevent any harm to the patient. The manipulation or reduction of the fractures on which the present apparatus is used must preferably be handled by a doctor specialised in traumatology and orthopaedics.

Abstract: An orthopedics restoration fixation device includes: a clamping mechanism and a shock absorbing mechanism. The clamping mechanism includes: a first base; a first clamping assembly and a second clamping assembly cooperating with each other and adjustably mounted on the first base; and an adjustment assembly mounted on the first base and configured to move the first clamping assembly and the second clamping assembly towards each other or away from each other. The shock absorbing mechanism is connected to the clamping mechanism and is configured to alleviate an external impact on the clamping mechanism.

Abstract: A traction tower trap assembly with straps and finger traps that are easily adjustable and releasable. The first adjustment mechanism is slidable within the first slot of the base plate and the second adjustment mechanism is slidable within the second slot of the base plate.

Abstract: A cervical traction assembly for use with a patient support apparatus includes an adjustment carriage track member including a connecting bracket assembly that releasably connects to a mount support member of the patient support apparatus. The adjustment track member includes a track body including a pair of opposing sidewalls that are spaced-apart from each other to define an elongated channel therebetween. Each sidewall includes a guide track that extends along a length of the respective sidewall. A rope angle adjustment carriage is located within the channel. The rope angle adjustment carriage includes a first track engagement member that is received by one of the guide tracks of one of the sidewalls and a second track engagement member that is received by another of the guide tracks of another of the sidewalls. The first track engagement member has a locked configuration that inhibits movement of the rope angle adjustment carriage.

Abstract: A wrist tower attachment for an arm stabilizer device is configured for modular attachment on a support arm secured in a rail clamp mounted on a rail of an operating table. The support arm includes a stabilizer bar having a distal bar end, and the wrist tower attachment is secured onto the distal bar end. Abstract: An elevation apparatus, system and method for elevating the patient's limb when using a manual distractor unit is mounted upon a support frame attached to an operating table side rail. A foot strap is attached to the extension apparatus and to the patient's ankle with a patient's knee support pad, extending from the distractor unit, is positioned under the patient's knee to provide traction to the patient's ankle, which is secured to the support frame. The extension apparatus may be formed with a plurality of attachment points for the foot strap so as to provide improved access to the ankle area with advantages of allowing additional types of procedures a surgeon may perform on the patient and/or the ability of the surgeon to access the ankle area and lower leg.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to software used in planning the correction of bone deformities preoperatively or postoperatively, and in particular relates to virtually manipulating rings and struts of an external fixation frame in order to plan the steps for making a desired correction to two or more bone portions of a patient. The software can be used prior to surgery, allowing a user to virtually define a bone deformity, and virtually add and manipulate fixation rings and struts to the bone deformity. Based on the virtual manipulations, a correction plan can be generated that describes length adjustments that should be made to the plurality of model struts over a period of time to correct the bone deformity. The software can also be used after surgical fixation of the fixation frame and struts to the deformed bone.
