    摘要: A stented valve including a stent structure including a generally tubular body portion having a first end, a second end, an interior area, a longitudinal axis, and a plurality of vertical wires extending generally parallel to the longitudinal axis around a periphery of the body portion, wherein the plurality of vertical wires includes multiple commissure wires and at least one structural wire positioned between adjacent commissure wires, and a plurality of V-shaped wire structures having a first end, a second end, and a peak between the first and second ends, wherein a first end of each V-shaped structure extends from a first vertical wire and a second end of each V-shaped structure extends from a second vertical wire that is adjacent to the first vertical wire, wherein each V-shaped structure is oriented so that its peak is facing in the same direction relative to the first and second ends of the body portion, and a valve structure including a plurality of leaflets attached to the stent structure within the tubular body portion.

    摘要: A stent is disclosed that has an elongated body composed of a bioabsorbable polymer having a proximal end, a distal end, two open spiral channels formed on the exterior surface of the body to provide fluid communication between the proximal end and the distal end. The stent also has a central lumen open at the proximal and distal ends of the stent for the passage of a guide wire. A method for using the stent and a kit containing the stent are also disclosed.

    摘要: A stent for insertion into a vessel of a patient includes an inner tube comprising a positive Poisson's ratio (PPR) material and defining a lumen extending along a longitudinal axis of the stent; and an outer tube comprising a negative Poisson's ratio (NPR) foam material and disposed around an entirety of the inner tube, the outer tube extending along the longitudinal axis of the stent. The stent is configured to exhibit an auxetic behavior in response to a deformation of the stent. An outer surface of the second portion is configured to apply a pressure to an inner surface of the vessel when the stent is implanted into the vessel and the deformation is removed.

    摘要: A constraining structure for use with a balloon catheter can include multiple longitudinal struts and multiple, sinusoidal shaped radial rings. The constraining structure can expand to form a pattern of channels including substantially square windows. The constraining structure can modify, restrict, and control a shape and/or size of the balloon when inflated. Inflating the balloon catheter within the constraining structure can provide nonuniform pressure on a vessel wall adjacent the balloon.

    摘要: Prosthetic valves and methods of use of prosthetic valves may be provided. In one implementation, a prosthetic valve may include an annular outer frame, an inner frame, and a plurality of ventricular anchoring legs extending from the outer frame. The outer frame may be formed at least partially of struts intersecting at junctions. At least one ventricular anchoring leg may include a first curved leg portion on a first surface of the leg, and a second curved leg portion on a second, opposite surface of the leg. The outer frame may also include a strut extending between a downstream end of the outer frame and the junction from which the at least one ventricular anchoring leg extends.
