    摘要: A ripping mechanism for a vehicle has a support frame. A ripping member has an engagement head that is configured for plowing a groove in the ground. The ripping member is preferably positionable in a selected working position and working orientation by adjustment of the support frame. The ripping member is preferably movable relative to the support frame to cause reciprocating movement of the engagement head at least partially longitudinally. A tilt adjustment cylinder is preferably operable to orient the ripping member in the selected orientation. A vibrator mechanism is preferably operatively connected to the ripping member and activatable to cause reciprocating movement of the engagement head at least partially longitudinally.

    摘要: The present disclosure generally provides systems for adjusting tension and positioning of a harrowing chain. Systems may include a tension adjustment assembly, and the tension adjustment assembly may include a pivot assembly and/or a cylinder hydraulic assembly. Modifications also may be made to the frame of an agricultural implement to address transport issues related to harrowing chains. Further modifications to exterior harrowing chains may be made to reduce the number of small ditches formed in a field due to digging by harrow disks of the chains.

    摘要: A one-piece tine for a soil cultivating implement includes a spring portion which connects a mounting portion to a shank portion. The longitudinal centreline of the tine lies substantially in a plane of the tine. The spring portion is arcuate having a re-entrant portion at a first end thereof, the cross section of the spring portion being relatively thin in the plane of the tine and elongate perpendicular to the plane of the tine. The mounting portion is fixed to the re-entrant portion and is adapted for mounting the tine to the apparatus. The shank portion has a foot for receiving a ground-engaging point, and the cross section of the shank portion is elongate in the plane of the tine to provide a blade-like shape for improved debris clearance.

    摘要: An apparatus for use in compacting or densifying soils includes a tubular casing having a vertical longitudinal axis and an inside surface; a hollow tubular drive shaft aligned with the vertical longitudinal axis of the tubular casing and mounted for rotation therein; a drive motor for rotating the drive shaft; a carrier attached to the drive shaft for rotation therewith; and a cylindrical roller weight in rolling contact with the inside surface of the tubular casing. The carrier engages the roller weight for rotation about the vertical longitudinal axis of the tubular casing. The centrifugal force resulting from rotation of the roller weight is resisted by the tubular casing thereby causing vibration thereof.

    摘要: A method for cultivating plantable soils, more particularly forest soils, by breaking-up and working-in plants and parts of plants lying upon the soil, for example leaves, needles, twigs and branches. To this end, a plurality of elements, flexible in all directions, tautened by centrifugal force, and secured to a shaft, are caused to rotate by the said shaft, the radius of rotation of the ends of the said elements being greater than the selected distance between the axis of rotation of the shaft and the surface of the ground. In order to be able to mechanically cultivate larger areas of substantially uneven and non-homogeneous forest soils, the horizontal axis of rotation of the shaft is also subjected to an oscillating pivoting motion about a vertical axis, the axis of rotation of the shaft being kept substantially radial to the pivot-axis and being moved in a circle which is parallel to the surface of the ground. Arranged upon the vehicle is a superstructure which is adapted to rotate in relation to the said chassis and upon which the shaft is mounted substantially radially to the pivot-axis. The superstructure and the shaft are motor-driven.

    摘要: A resonant work performing apparatus is disclosed which includes a resonant system which is vibratory in resonance at an unloaded resonant frequency. The resonant system has a vibratory input at a frequency near the resonant frequency, and a vibratory output responsive to vibrations at the input. The resonant system has at least one intermediate node, and the apparatus includes a frame attached to the resonant system substantially at the node. A vibrational force is applied to the input of the resonant system at a given frequency near the unloaded resonant frequency to excite the resonant system to at least near resonance. A sensor is used to determine the frequency of the resonant system. Application of the vibrational force is controlled responsively to the sensor to hold the applied vibrational force at the given frequency.
