    摘要： An oscillation-preventing member for a stylus-tip protector is provided with a base member and a pair of leg parts integrally formed by employing a flexible sheet material. The pair of leg parts is bent at the same angle and in the same direction with respect to the base member. This oscillation-preventing member is mounted on a cartridge body, sandwiching a cartridge case from both outer sides with the pair of leg parts to prevent oscillation of a stylus-tip protector by bringing the base member into contact with part of the stylus-tip protector. This structure allows to provide an oscillation-preventing member for a stylus-tip protector, being attached/detached easily, manufactured at low costs, and configured to reliably prevent oscillation of a stylus-tip protector according to an impact.

    摘要： Test equipment is provided for determining the size or the degree of wear of a phono pickup needle. The static friction which is experienced by a motion of the stylus in the groove of a record is measured. The test equipment employs components of a record player and includes a turntable capable of being turned manually. A base part is positioned on the turntable. An axis is disposed at the base part. A carrying part is supported by the base part and is rotatable about the axis such that the carrying part moves about in a plane parallel to the base part on the turntable. A test support area is made of a material corresponding to a phonograph record. The test support area is provided with grooves and rests on the carrying part such that the grooves correspond in their position to the grooves of a record and such that the stylus engages a groove. Elastic coupling means is provided between the carrying part and the base part. The restoring force of the coupling means increases with increasing relative turning of the base part with respect to the carrying part. Display means indicates the relative turning of the base part with respect to the carrying part.

    摘要： An apparatus for holding a plurality of styli in a high-density configuration during processing comprises a holder having a slot with a closed end disposed adjacent a first surface thereof. The slot has a pair of longitudinal sides parallel to each other and separated by a distance greater than the diameter of a stylus but less than twice the stylus diameter. Attached to the holder at the end of the slot, opposite the closed end, is means for exerting a clamping force against a stylus disposed at one end of a stack of the styli juxtaposed in two rows oriented along the slot. The exerting means is adapted to push the styli toward the closed end of the slot and thereby effectively hold the styli within the slot.

    摘要： A phonograph cartridge stylus protector includes a magnifying lens to permit the user to view a magnified image of the stylus tip. The stylus protector is pivotally mounted to the cartridge and may be positioned at a first position out of the way of the stylus, a second position in which the user may obtain one magnified view of the stylus tip while the stylus tip is inserted in a record groove, and a third, lowermost position in which the protector protects the stylus against accidental contact and in which the user may obtain a different magnified view of the stylus tip and the area adjacent the stylus tip.
