摘要: A method for performing melody detection comprises interpreting the global perceptual effect of all the sounds at once, to determine what is the melody actually perceived by the human ear, and providing a music sheet or a text printout including a time sequence of single notes describing that melody.

摘要: A 128-note MIDI-range monophonic musical keyboard instrument (100) includes an octave keypad (106) with eleven keys arranged in an analog clock face format for octave selection with the thumb of one hand, a pitch keypad (108) with twelve pitch keys similarly disposed in a clockface arrangement around a central omnivalent thirteenth key (128), enabling the nondisjointed sounding of nonadjacent notes with the thumb of the other hand. Spatial manipulation of the device, such as tilting and jabbing, can switch octaves and activate other functions, enabling one-handed operation and overcoming small-screen space limitation. Aside from producing typical electronic piano or synthesizer sounds, the device can sing in human voice an extended monosyllabic solfege covering all twelve pitch families of the common chromatic 12-tone even-tempered scale. A pictograph-based music notation (156) mirrors the circular geometry of the pitch and octave keyboards and facilitates the intuitive reading and playing of a melody.

摘要: A modulated electromagnetic musical instrument and sound reproduction system includes an acoustic carrier signal source, a modulation signal source, a linkage element, and an acoustic output. The acoustic carrier signal source is produced electromagnetically or mechanically via human instrument playing. An electromagnetic modulation source mixes with the acoustic carrier signal within a linkage element to produce a nonlinear behavior. This nonlinear behavior's coupled interaction with a physical medium or acoustic body produces sideband frequency components to form unique musical sound outputs and audio effects.

摘要: Systems and methods for mapping parts in a digital sheet music file for a harmony. The method may include receiving a selection of a music segment for part mapping, receiving a digital sheet music representation of the selected music segment, and determining a plurality of plausible part mapping for the digital sheet music representation. A part mapping identifies one or more distinct musical parts in the digital sheet music representation, each of said one or more distinct musical parts corresponding to a performer of the harmony. The method may also include analyzing one or more features of the plurality of plausible part mapping to identify a highest probability part mapping based on previously stored information, and outputting the highest probability part mapping.

摘要: I disclose a system of sheet music notation. It allows for quicker visual identification of the line or line space number on an individual staff and replaces clefs with simpler pitch indicators. It creates an equality between the two upper and lower staves of the grand staff by using a 6+6 staff line combination in which the first notes in both staves are named the same (though different octaves). It allows for an intermediate step between 5+5 and 6+6 notations to help convert those used to the 5+5 notation to the 6+6 notation and vice versa. It allows the number of staff lines to be increase as a music student becomes more advanced. Finally it creates a staff in which each note in a scale is represented just once and same named notes in different octaves are always in the same staff position.

摘要: A system for music transcription that includes: a musical instrument; a computer; a communication link between the musical instrument and the computer; and software residing on memory within the computer adapted to interpret audio sound from the musical instrument and transcript musical notes onto a visible music scale. The musical notes are transcribed onto a treble clef and a bass clef, where the musical instrument includes at least one of a guitar, keyboard, horn, woodwind or other musical instrument. A tablature may also be provided for a stringed instrument. The communication link includes a microphone on the computer, where the microphone transmits music to a processor for interpretation.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, computer program products, and systems to for automatic key transposition. Embodiments of the present invention can be used to determine compatibility between a known melody capable of being generated by a pitch generation system and a first performance profile associated with a first performer that performs in conjunction with the pitch generation system. Embodiments of the present invention can be further used to determine an appropriate key to update one or more pitches associated with the known melody, to be generated by the pitch generation system during the performance by the first performer, based on the compatibility between the first performance profile and the known melody.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a controller. The controller includes a list display controller, a selection receiving section, a data request section, and an image formation controller. The list display controller acquires list data from a file server and causes display of the list data in the form of a list. The selection receiving section receives user selection of an article name from the list. The data request section requests image formation data corresponding to the article name that the user has selected from the file server. The image formation controller acquires image formation data and controls formation of an article image on a paper sheet based on the image formation data.

摘要: The invention disclosed herein comprises a method for visually representing music to be played on a musical instrument by providing a tablature staff which is divided into individual measures by segmenting the tablature staff with measure lines. Each measure is then further divided into proportional time subdivisions using subdivision lines. Alphanumeric notes are then printed between these subdivision lines on the tablature staff, wherein each alphanumeric note represents a tone to be played on a musical instrument and wherein the duration of each alphanumeric note is indicated by the number of time subdivisions within a measure and its corresponding font size.
