Abstract:
A system and method for conducting heating, ventilation, and Air Conditioning Analytics is disclosed. The system uses one or more wireless pneumatic thermostats (WPT) and/or various other sensors in communication with a control device to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, optimize, or otherwise adjust an installed pneumatic HVAC system.
Abstract:
A water control fixture includes a fixture body in fluid communication with a pressurized supply of hot water and a pressurized supply of cold water. The fixture body interconnects the supply of hot water and the supply of cold water. The fixture body has a spout outlet configured to dispense water from the fixture body. At least one operating valve is coupled to the fixture body for controlling a flow of water to the spout outlet. A bypass valve is disposed in the fixture body for controlling a recirculating flow of water through the fixture body. The bypass valve blocks and permits recirculating flow from the supply of hot water to the supply of cold water based on a temperature of the water.
Abstract:
A thermally responsive valve device comprises a body member having an inlet port and outlet ports, a first passage communication between the inlet port and one of the outlet ports, a second passage communication between the inlet port and the other of the outlet ports, a valve seat positioned in the both passages, a valve means movable into and out of engagement with the valve seat, a bimetal disc movable in response to variations in temperature to close and open the first passage and second passage simultaneously.
Abstract:
A temperature responsive valve construction comprises a housing member having an inlet and an outlet formed therein and carrying a resilient valve seat that is adapted to interconnect the inlet with the outlet when the valve seat is open, and a one piece magnetic bimetallic snap disc closing the valve seat by snapping directly against the valve seat when sensing a certain temperature and opening the valve seat by snapping away from the valve seat when sensing another temperature. The bimetallic snap disc is held by an adjacent magnet member so that the bimetallic snap disc is held so as to be able to operate surely and completely and the valve construction can be assembled in easy manner.
Abstract:
A temperature-sensitive actuator is operatively connected to a valve by means of a spring-loaded linkage. The actuator causes a tensioned spring in the linkage to pass over center upon the occurrence of a predetermined temperature, thereby fully opening or closing the valve. The invention may be embodied in several forms including an automatic drain for water systems and a fire extinguishing system sprinkler control.
Abstract:
A thermostatically operated valve assembly including a pair of valves in a cascade arrangement with one of the valves being a relatively small flow valve movable between closed and opened positions with a snap action in accordance with minor temperature variations and with a relatively larger valve being provided with a gradual opening movement in accordance with major temperature variations.
