Abstract:
A timing device for visually indicating the passage of a duration of time is disclosed. The timing device comprises a lens, a base and an optical medium therebetween. The optical medium preferably comprises one or more materials, layers or components that chemically or electrochemically change the duration of time. The timing device preferably comprises an opaque layer positioned between the lens and the base, wherein the opaque layer is dissolved over the duration of time, thereby making the base visible through the lens. The timing device is preferably fabricated in parts with reactive regions which are configured to couple together to form an activated device. In further embodiments of the invention, the device comprises means to generate an audible signal when the duration of time has passed and/or thermosensor for actuating the device within a range of temperatures.

Abstract:
A timer produces a signal on an output at lunar transit time and at one half daily lunar cycle past lunar transit time. The timer is connected to a feeder to distribute feed to wild or domestic animals such as mammals, fish or birds. The timer includes a crystal oscillator and means for counting the oscillations.
Abstract:
The bottle cap reminder device has a cap with an electronic counter means disposed within the cap. The electronic counter means progressively counts the time when activated and resets the time when deactivated. A power source preferably a battery provides the energy to run the electronic counter means. The power source is preferably housed within the electronic counter means and connected in circuit to the electronic counter means. A switching means is employed to activate and deactivate the electronic counter means. The switching means is comprised of a conductive contact lever connected in circuit to and extending from the electronic counter means, a conductive contact spring in conductive contact with the power source, and a conductive contact plate in conductive contact with the conductive contact spring.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus with an azimuth meter is capable of measuring an accurate azimuth and is made small even if one or a plurality of magnetized members for generating a magnetic field exists. Magnetic screen is provided for shielding an azimuth sensor from a magnetic field generated from a battery and a stepping motor. Moreover, when the stepping motor rests, an azimuth is measured, and rotor rest time and a direction of the magnetic field generated from a rotor are predicted based on rotor rotation starting time and a direction of a driving current flowing through a coil, and the measured azimuth is corrected according to the predicted result.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a cap for a hermetically sealed container, said cap providing a visually observable indication of elapsed time from the opening of the seal of said container, said cap including means for releasing a chemical which effects a color change in a chamber formed therein, said chamber being provided with a transparent section for viewing the contents thereof and said released chemical effecting a cumulative color change of said section with time, the arrangement being such that manipulation of said cap to open said container and said seal effects activation of said releasing means.
Abstract:
To reduce electric power consumed during the operation of adjusting the indication of time and reduce the time required for the time adjusting operation. Using a second hand driving motor and a hour/minute hand driving motor both capable of rotating in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, the indication of time is adjusted by driving the second hand driving motor and the hour/minute hand driving motor at times different from each other. The hand driving method (hand driving direction) is determined on the basis of the time elapsed during the power saving mode measured by a time information adjusting part such that the hands are driven in a direction which results in a reduction in the power consumption or the adjusting time.
Abstract:
An wristwatch contains a time register mechanism within a watch case and an intervening member which contains a signal reception detecting/reporting device that detects/reports a signal received at a portable terminal. When there is a received signal at the portable terminal 1, respective lamps are turned on/off in accordance with a predetermined pattern. A device body which contains the signal reception detecting/reporting device, may be provided with a connector which is engaged at opposite ends with the device body.
Abstract:
A timed medication container for sounding an alarm when medication needs to be taken. The timed medication container includes a bottle for housing medication. A cap for removably closing the bottle has a top wall. The top wall has a top surface. Control circuitry is fixedly mounted in the top wall of the cap. The control circuitry is adapted for tracking elapsing time, subtraction, and activation of an alarm. The control circuitry comprises a microprocessor. A display displays information from the control circuitry. The display is mounted on the control circuitry. A surface of the display is generally flush with the top surface of the top wall. The display is operationally coupled to the control circuitry. A plurality of bores is in the top wall of the cap. A button for programming the control circuitry is in each of the bores in the cap. Each of the buttons is fixedly coupled to the control circuitry.
Abstract:
A compact medication dispensing unit is disclosed consisting of a body forming a chamber with an open first end, a closed second end, a front, a back and at least two sides. A lid is hinged, preferably at the front of the body, to prevent access to the chamber. Dividers, either integral or removable, create multiple sub-chambers to separate medications. A securing member, such as a spring bias clip or a semi-rigid J-shaped clip, is affixed to the back of the body proximate the first end to maintain the vertical alignment of the ends. Programmable notification and display means enable a user to enter data and subsequently notify and display the entered data to the user. In another embodiment the interior chamber contains vertically oriented modules. The modules are rotatable within the interior chamber to open for accessibility and are preferably separated by rigidly affixed separators. The can rotate through use of a pivot member or a hinge. A stop member on each module prevents the modules from rotating beyond a predetermined amount. Closure members maintain the multiple modules within the interior chamber until released by a user. Springs, having sufficient force to push said module to an open position, can be affixed within the interior chamber proximate said module. Programmable notification and display means enable user entry of data and subsequently notifying and displaying the data to a user.
