Abstract:
A multiple pipeline orientation water meter that includes a water meter arrangement having a water meter and a pipe connector. The water meter body coacts with the pipe connector to permit proper installation of the water meter in various piping orientations.
Abstract:
A liquid meter body including a plastic material bucket 1 which includes a lower portion 3 delimited by a bottom 9 end by a lower side wall 10 and a cylindrical upper portion 4 delimited by an upper side wall. The upper side wall joins onto the lower side wall at a shoulder 5. The lower portion 3 defines a housing 2 for a measuring chamber. The meter body further comprises entry and exit tubes 6, 7, the tubes having an external thread, the interior of the tubes opening into the housing 2 of the measuring chamber via a bore formed in the lower side wall 10 and respectively forming an injector 11 and an ejector 12. The meter body has an elliptical bottom 9. The bores forming the injector 11 and the ejector 12 are elliptical.

Abstract:
An adjustable meter loop assembly for connecting a gas meter to a gas supply line and a gas service line which includes a gas inlet conduit, a gas outlet conduit, and an adjustable brace. The gas inlet conduit is connectable to a gas inlet of the gas meter and the gas supply line. The gas outlet conduit is connectable to a gas outlet of the gas meter and the gas service line. The adjustable brace connects the gas inlet conduit to the gas outlet conduit. At least one of the gas inlet conduit and the gas outlet conduit is rotatable so as to permit the position of a second end of one of the gas inlet conduit and the gas outlet conduit to be selectively altered.
Abstract:
A fluid flow system, casing and method according to which a chamber is formed in the casing and at least one conduit is coupled to the casing so that fluid passes from the conduit and into the chamber and so that forces acting on the conduit creates stresses on the casing that causes flexure of the casing. At least one groove is formed in the wall of the casing defining the chamber, and is configured and located relative to the chamber to direct the flexure away from the wall of the casing defining the chamber.
Abstract:
A calorimetric flow measuring device is characterized by a single thermistor for measuring flow. The thermistor is connected within a bridge circuit which compensates for the temperature of the medium whose flow is being measured and a pulsing heater is provided to periodically heat the thermistor, the rate of cooling of which is a function of the rate of flow. A control devise such as a transistor is connected in the bridge circuit and with the pulsing heater so that temperature compensation is prevented when the heater is activated.
Abstract:
A sensor assembly includes a sensor housing or mounting apparatus for positioning in a free flowing stream of particulate matter in order to accomplish on-line measurement of a physical property of the material such as moisture content. The housing has an inlet nozzle, a mid-section or sensing chamber, and a discharge section. The inlet nozzle has flow deflector plates that intercept a sample of material from the process stream from a single plane and channel it to the sensing chamber. A sensor is embedded in the walls of the sensing chamber and positioned to sense the material property of the passing sample. A discharge nozzle extends from the sensing chamber and has a constricted discharge opening in order to regulate flow through the sensing chamber. The discharge nozzle has a pair of downwardly convergent deflector plates such that the flow of particulate matter is restricted in a single vertical plane that is perpendicular to the vertical plane referenced by the inlet section.
