    Abstract: An explosive actuated acoustic device emits sound to be used in torpedo countermeasures. Numbered devices are delivered over an extended area and sink through the water. The devices are actuated at different times as they sink, to provide sound masking over an extended period of time. The devices also include safety devices which prevent premature actuation from jarring or jolting and from impact with the water.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a fuze for a gyratory projectile, including a striker holder movable about a rocker axis perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the fuze, a primer holder rotatable about an axis of rotation parallel to the axis of symmetry, and a self-destruction device. The latter includes an SD mechanism using the linear acceleration of the projectile upon the departure of the shot to store axial kinetic energy, and a safety mechanism using the centrifugal effects of the projectile during the flight to store radial kinetic energy. The two mechanisms cooperate with each other, and with the striker holder and the primer holder to generate the different storage positions before firing, intermediate upon the departure of the shot, cocked during the flight and of self-destruction at the end of the flight, guaranteeing maximum safety of the projectile in the storage position and maximum responsiveness of the projectile regardless of the scenario encountered during ballistic firing.

    Abstract: A priming and self-destruct system for a munition having its own rotational movement about a longitudinal axis includes a trigger mounted to pivot about an axis parallel to the rotational axis of the munition under the effect of centrifugal force and against the action of a return spring. The self-destruct system also has a retention device for a secondary firing pin having its own spring in the armed position that is controlled by the trigger when the system is rotating about the axis of the munition. In the event of a malfunction, the secondary firing pin is released by the trigger when the rotation ceases, i.e., when the munition comes to rest on the ground. At that point and without delay, the secondary firing pin pierces the priming system and initiates the munition.
