摘要: The inventive technology describe herein employs a removal assist mechanism for a firearm magazine that eliminates hang-ups and gravitational restrictions and allows consistent, reliable, safe, and dependable magazine ejection from a firearm. This removal assist mechanism is for a firearm having a magazine release actuator. The embodiment of the overall mechanism includes a biasing mechanism connected to the magazine and which extends from the magazine to contact a part of a firearm containing the magazine, wherein the biasing mechanism biases against the firearm part when the magazine is inserted into the firearm and remains under resistive force while the magazine is retained therein, until released by the magazine release actuator whereupon releasing the biasing mechanism assists in ejection of the magazine.

摘要: A dual magazine release system for a firearm has a housing attachable to a firearm. The housing includes first and second magazine holders, the first magazine holder positioned to retain a first magazine to feed ammunition to the firearm and the second magazine holder positioned in front of a trigger of the firearm and configured to retain a spare second magazine. A magazine retaining and release system is coupled to the housing and configured to retain the first magazine in the first magazine holder and to retain the second magazine in the second magazine holder and to selectively release the first magazine or the second magazine independently from one another or to substantially simultaneously release the first and second magazines from the first and second magazine holders, respectively, upon actuation of the magazine retaining and release system by a user.

摘要: An offset magazine release button includes a body portion and a generally stairstep-shaped end portion. The body portion may be inserted into a magazine release opening of a firearm. The stairstep-shaped end portion may include an indention portion providing or creating a floor or floor portion and a narrow stairstep riser. The floor, when part of the assembled firearm, is generally flush with the firearm's gripping surface to create an augmented gripping surface that may allow the operator to have a higher grip to help control recoil. The end portion also includes an offset contacting pad. The floor transitions to the riser, which then transitions to the pad. The pad has a generally perpendicular ledge or surface extending toward an actuating thumb position of the operator's grip. The pad surface may be textured to provide for better contact with the operator's thumb when depressing the button to release a magazine.

摘要: An automatic magazine ejection system is disclosed. The automatic magazine ejection system comprises a modified bolt catch, a release switch, and a pivotable magazine catch. The modified bolt catch pivots from a first position to a second position. When in the second position the bottom of an external part of the modified bolt catch moves toward the firearm. The release switch is connected to the modified bolt catch. The bottom of the release switch engages the end of the pivotable magazine catch to pivot the end of the magazine catch out of the magazine well and permit the automatic removal of the magazine. If the release switch is slid to an “off” position then the bottom of the release switch does not engage the pivotable magazine catch when it moves and the magazine is not removed from the magazine well.

摘要: A magazine adapter for use in a firearm includes a magazine adapter body configured to be bottom-fed and detachably received within a magazine well on the firearm. The magazine adapter body has a bottom panel, an upwardly extending first panel and an upwardly extending second panel defining a channel therebetween proportioned to slidably receive a magazine therein. The second panel defines a groove configured to engage a firearm magazine catch on the firearm when the magazine adapter body is received within the magazine well. The magazine adapter body may detach from the magazine well when the firearm magazine catch is actuated. The first panel includes an adapter magazine catch configured to releasably engage the magazine when the magazine is received within the magazine adapter channel. A magazine release is coupled to the adapter magazine catch. The adapter magazine catch disengages from the magazine when the magazine release is actuated.

摘要: An auto-releasing method and arrangement of a detachable magazine for a firearm is provided. The auto-releasing arrangement is able to physically remind the operator that it is the right time to replace the magazine and to continue fire without having to performing a series of magazine reloading operations to reset the firearm into the fire mode, wherein the magazine will automatically be released and removed from the magazine receiving cavity of the firearm. In other words, the operator can simply insert another loaded magazine into the magazine receiving cavity while the firearm still has at least one cartridge chambered for firing, so that the time cost on performing such operations can substantially be saved to increase the survival probability during a gunfight or the like.
