    Abstract: A selector assembly incorporated into the frame of an airsoft handgun that is operable to configure the airsoft gun in a semi-automatic or full-automatic firing mode. The selector assembly is operable to adjust the position of a disconnector and a sear such that the engagement surfaces of the disconnector and sear are configured to interact with the hammer and firing assembly such that one or multiple rounds are propelled down the barrel for each trigger engagement.

A single stage operation involves both a first stage spring and second stage spring upon trigger load application. In a two-stage operation, the first stage spring is engaged and then the second stage spring is also engaged. A selector pin provides flexibility to alter the mode of operation of the trigger mechanism between single stage trigger operation and a double stage trigger operation.

    Abstract: A double firing mode semi-automatic handgun has a frame, a barrel, a spring biased slide, and a firing assembly with a firing rod operated by a trigger. A frame pocket is provided in a rear part of the frame which is open from above, in which an associated frame inset or an associated other frame inset can be inserted. A rear part of the slide has a slide pocket in which an associated slide inset or an associated other slide inset can be inserted. A firing pin is arranged in front of the connection site of the frame pocket and behind the barrel extending to a cartridge receiving chamber. A rearward motion of the firing rod causes a surface to be pushed on the frame inset and transforms into an axial hit on the firing pin by a spring bias or by the release of a lock.

    Abstract: A trigger device is disclosed. The trigger device comprises a housing, a trigger, a reverser, and a first pull weight adjustment mechanism. The trigger is rotatably mounted in the housing via a trigger pivot pin. The trigger comprises a trigger tooth. The reverser is rotatably mounted in the housing via a reverser pivot pin. The reverser comprises a reverser tooth. The first pull weight adjustment mechanism is coupled between the trigger and the reverser to bias the trigger in a first direction and the reverser in an opposite direction. Actuation of the trigger causes the trigger to rotate in the opposite direction, the trigger tooth to engage the reverser tooth, and the reverser to rotate in the first direction.

    Abstract: A trigger assembly having a user-adjustable actuation force. The trigger assembly includes a trigger and indexing pin that are rotatable about a pivot axis and mounted to a locking block of a firearm. A torsion spring bridges the indexing pin and the locking block. Rotation of the indexing pin in a first rotational direction increases the actuation force of the trigger assembly, while rotation of the indexing pin in a second, opposite rotational direction decreases the actuation force. The end user is able to adjust the actuation force of the trigger without procuring additional components and without requiring the services of a locksmith. A safety trigger has a lower pivot point on the trigger and provides a stop that prevents retraction of the trigger unless the safety trigger is retracted first.

    Abstract: Firearm trigger mechanisms with rotatable linkage members and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. A firearm trigger assembly configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, a trigger, first and second linkage members, and a sear. The first linkage member, second linkage member, and sear are arranged in an over-center configuration that securely locks the sear in a first position. Pulling on the trigger causes the trigger to rotate about a fixed pivot point and push on one of the two linkage members, forcing the linkage members and the sear out of the over-center configuration. The force from a striking mechanism forces the sear and the linkage members into a collapsed configuration, releasing the striking mechanism and firing the firearm. This two toggle configuration of the trigger assembly provides crisp and reliable release of the firearm.
