The flue gas exhaust system comprises a stack having an inlet opening for introducing flue gas into the stack and an outlet opening for exhausting flue gas. The inlet opening of the stack is in fluid connection to an outlet of a heat recovery system of the industrial furnace. Further, the fluid connection between said heat recovery system outlet and said stack inlet opening comprises a transition flue gas duct that at least partly embraces a part of the stack.

    摘要: A fire-resistant wall intended in particular for use in an incinerator has a tube wall, composed of tubes connected by webs, and, placed in front and at a distance from the tube wall, a fire-resistant protective cladding composed of a plurality of fire-resistant tiles which are arranged next to and above one another and which are fastened to the webs of the tube wall via in each case at least one tile holder. The tiles are provided with continuous open grooves into which the tile holders engage. In the tube wall are provided inlet openings via which air can be introduced into the gap between the tube wall and the protective cladding. Also provided are outlet openings through which air can be removed from the wall. The air supply openings are arranged in the region of the open grooves of the tiles, with the result that the supplied air flows directly into the grooves and is distributed through these grooves over the entire wall. By incorporating the grooves into the air distribution system within the wall, the gap width between the tube wall and the protective cladding can be reduced to 5 mm, thereby considerably improving the heat transfer. It is possible at the same time to manage with relatively small air volumes and the pressure loss is considerably reduced, making possible considerable energy savings.

The seal assembly includes a trough containing water and connected to one of the portions of each wall. A dip skirt extends into the trough and divides same into an inner chamber and outer chamber, and a partition extends from the dip skirt, across the space between the wall portions, and to the other wall portion to expose the water in the inner chamber to the boiler pressure and the water in the outer chamber to atmosphere. As a result, relative movement between the wall portions is accommodated by corresponding movement of the dip skirt in the water trough while maintaining an airtight seal.
