    Abstract: A connecting tube guides an air flow from a blower of a handheld work apparatus to a catcher bag. The connecting tube is curved in an arcuate manner in a plane of curvature and has an inlet opening and an outlet opening. The air flow in the connecting tube is deflected in the plane of curvature along a longitudinal center line by at least 70°. The connecting tube has flow cross-sections oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal center line, each having an inner height measured perpendicular to the plane of curvature. The connecting tube has a center flow cross-section oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal center line halfway between the inlet opening and the outlet opening. Each flow cross-section has an inner width in the direction perpendicular to its inner height. The inner height of the center flow cross-section is greater than the inner width of the center flow cross-section.

    Abstract: A connector includes a connector body having a hollow channel, and a retainer configured to prevent a pipe inserted into the hollow channel from being removed using a stopper piece. The retainer body lies along the outer peripheral surface of the retainer attachment portion. A bearing allows the retainer body to rotate from a temporary locking position to a main locking position. A detection piece passes through a detection hole and projects into the hollow channel when located in the temporary locked position, so as to be pushed in an axial direction by a bulge of the pipe. An inclined surface of the detection piece inclines with respect to the axial direction such that a pushing force can be converted to a radially outward force. A first energy conversion mechanism serves to convert the energy converted by the inclined surface to the rotational energy in the locking direction.

    Abstract: A fluid system includes a loading arm connected to a swivel joint. A counterbalance mechanism is connected between the loading arm and the swivel joint. An adjustment mechanism adjusts the counterbalance force applied by the counterbalance mechanism to the loading arm. The adjustment mechanism includes a guide plate connected to the swivel joint and includes a guide slot and a straight bore guide. A bracket is movably connected to the guide plate and has one or more apertures and a threaded bore guide. Fasteners extend through the guide slot and the one or more apertures to selectively secure the bracket to the guide plate. A lead screw is disposed at least partially within the straight bore guide and the threaded bore guide. Rotation of the lead screw causes the bracket to move along a length of the lead screw and thereby adjust the counterbalance force.

    Abstract: A leakage-proof pipe fitting of quick connection for Reverse Osmosis Membrane (RO) water treatment unit of household comprises a pipe fitting of elbow type, a sealing O-ring, an annular cooperative bushing collar, an accessory latching clip and an adapted cylindrical elastic sleeving collet with an elongated annular delimiting flange, whose longitudinal thickness is lengthened into at least double length for the original longitudinal thickness of the conventional annular delimiting flange to extend the embracing distance from the top surface of the adapted cylindrical elastic sleeving collet to the bottom surface of the cylindrical retainer in the pipe fitting of elbow type so that the curvature for the bent water pipe/tube covered by the embracing distance is reduced. Thereby, the sealing O-ring is free from uneven stress of the bent water pipe/tube. Consequently, it has effect in preventing RO water treatment unit from the leakage of compressed water therein.
