Abstract: A transverse bar for a chain link of an energy guiding chain for guiding lines. The transverse bar has an elongate main body comprising a first plastic and at both longitudinal ends a connecting region for connection to the side plates. The main body of the transverse bar has two long narrow sides which each have a holding device for separating bars. Provided on the inside of the main body that faces towards the lines is a line-protecting layer for handling the lines gently and comprising a second plastic which is different from the plastic of the main body and is selected to reduce abrasion upon relative movement between a line and the transverse bar. In that case the line-protecting layer extends from one narrow side to the other and at least predominantly covers over the inside of the main body but leaves uncovered the respective holding device at the one narrow side and at the other narrow side.

Abstract: The design of chain links for energy chains for movably carrying cables, hoses and the like. The chain link consists of a plurality of individual parts, namely two side plates made of plastic, comprising an interior side facing the interior of the chain link, an exterior side facing away therefrom and two narrow sides running substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction, and at least one, more particularly two transverse connecting pieces for detachably connecting the side plates, comprising a center part and a fastening portion at each end of the transverse connecting piece on both sides. The side plates have, on at least one narrow side, a corresponding fastening region for frictionally fastening a transverse connecting piece, namely a clamping receptacle which has two clamping surfaces, which are opposite one another in the longitudinal direction and between which a complementarily shaped fastening portion of the at least one separate transverse connecting piece is clamped. Each transverse connecting piece has two support protrusions on each fastening portion, each support protrusion having a support surface for resting against the interior side of the side plate in order to achieve a robust connection. Providing the side plate, in the central region between the fastening regions, with a special functional cut-out in the plate body, which cut-out facilitates additional functions or application expansions.

Abstract: An energy chain with a drive unit. The energy chain has chain links that adjoin one another in the longitudinal direction of the energy chain and can be pivoted relative to one another, each chain link comprising two lateral parts, which lie opposite each other in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction, and crosspieces, which connect the lateral parts together. The drive unit has a drivable drive roller with radial protrusions that engage between the crosspieces. The crosspieces have regions which are reinforced in the connection regions adjoining the lateral parts of the chain links and in which the strength of the crosspieces is reinforced, and the drive roller is arranged and designed such that the radial protrusions of the drive roller engage between the regions of reinforced strength. A system consisting of an energy chain with a drive unit of the aforementioned type and a storage unit for the energy chain.

Abstract: An energy chain comprising rollers on a number of chain links of the upper strand and/or of the lower strand. The rollers project, at least to a slight extent, beyond narrow sides of the lateral plates in the direction of the respectively opposite strand, in order to allow for rolling action when the energy chain is displaced. The invention provides for the rollers to comprise a wheel body made of plastic and having a hub, a rim and a radial region, which connects the hub and rim. The material thickness of the radial region is reduced in comparison with the rim such that radial impacts during the course of the rolling action can be damped by elastic deformability of the radial region of the roller itself. This significantly reduces the development of noise and vibration caused by rollers located opposite one another coming into contact with one another. The invention also proposes a roller subassembly and/or a chain link made up of two opposite lateral plates with corresponding rollers and, as a further aspect, a special way of fastening the rollers on successive lateral plates.

Abstract: A protective cable conduit for lines in a clean room application, with a flexible encasement which is movable back and forth for routing a line. Each receptacle extends in channel-like fashion from a first end to a second end. The encasement comprises at least one encasing unit, which forms the at least one receptacle for a line. The encasing unit has a first fastening strip on one longitudinal side and a second fastening strip on the other longitudinal side. The first and the second fastening strip are designed for releasable connection by interlocking engagement and/or frictional engagement, for example with a cooperating hook profile and claw profile, and are connectable to one another in a connection direction transverse to the longitudinal direction. A plurality of encasing units can thus be fastened to one another releasably using mating fastening strips by connecting the fastening strips in a connection direction transverse to the longitudinal direction. An arrangement of a protective cable conduit with support chains, wherein each support chain is routed in an associated encasing unit which accommodates only the associated support chain(s), such that this is replaceable separately from lines routed in the encasement.
