摘要： A device for making a molded stair tread is described. The device can have: a base; a pivoting assembly; a molding template connected to the pivoting assembly; a holding device connected to the molding template, the holding device having a clamp jaw and a pivot configured to rotate the holding device relative to the molding template; and a locking mechanism configured to hold the molding template and the holding device in an open configuration such that the holding device can accept a first part of the plastic sheet and configured to release the molding template and the holding device such that the holding device is in a securing configuration that secures, via the clamp jaw, the first part of the plastic sheet to the first side of the molding template at the first longitudinal edge of the molding template. Methods for making the stair tread are described as well as the molded stair tread.

摘要： A staircase cabinet comprises a plurality of treads each having an outer edge, an inner edge and a back surface; a pair of outer stringers both for defining opposed walls of the cabinet and supporting the outer edges of each tread; an inner stringer for supporting the inner edges of each tread; and fasteners for attaching the treads to the inner stringer and the outer stringers in alternating arrangement on respective opposite sides of the inner stringer to define an alternating staircase for use between a lower level and an upper level, the back surface of the treads and the outer stringers defining a cabinet space. The outer stringers comprise planar wooden sheets having an outer surface, and the fasteners pass only partially through the planar members to maintain the outer surface unbroken by the fasteners.

摘要： A tread for a steel-pan staircase. The tread includes a lattice structure comprising a top side, a left side, and a right side. The tread further includes a top surface integrally formed on the top side of the lattice structure, a first tongue-and-groove structure disposed on the left side of the lattice structure, and a second tongue-and-groove structure disposed on the right side of the lattice structure. The lattice structure comprises a plurality of lateral members and a plurality of crosswise members. The first tongue-in-groove structure may include a wall descending from the top surface. The second tongue-in-groove structure may include a first wall extending outwardly from the right side of the lattice structure. Extending upwardly from the first wall may be a second wall or a plurality of teeth. The placement of the first and second tongue-in-groove structures may be reversed.

摘要： A staircase and method for producing the same. The staircase is produced by double routing channels for sub-treads and sub-risers and capping risers and capping treads. These sub-treads and sub-risers are assembled into staircase stringers that have pre-routed channels that are sufficient to install sub-treads and sub-risers having a particular thickness and having room for subsequent placement or installation of capping treads and risers by sliding them laterally into the channels created by the double routing of the stringers. This creates a more finished look to be (the) staircase while avoiding damages to the capping treads and risers that might occur during building construction.

摘要： The stairtread has the aesthetic appearance of a solid hardwood stairtread and presents a structural stability comparable to that of hardwood treads, but comprises a core layer made of lamellas of lower quality material glued laterally adjacent to each other. On the top surface of the core layer are glued laterally adjacent to each other top lamellas of higher quality wood. Underneath lamellas made of higher quality wood may also be glued laterally adjacent to each other on the bottom surface of the core layer to form a tread of which the underside is made of higher quality wood covering the lower quality core. Finally an elongate nose member is applied and glued to a longitudinal edge surface of the core layer. Use of lower quality material such as low quality wood helps to preserve our natural resources and to reduce consumption of higher quality wood material becoming every day more rare and difficult to obtain.

Each module 4 included flat vertical front and rear panels 6, 20 that are joined by vertical inside and outside panels 30, 3 8. The modules are joined by affixing the front panel of a higher module to the rear panel of the next adjacent lower module to form a stepped configuration. For a curved stairway 2, the helical box beam 60 formed of a plurality of trapezoid shaped modules 4 provides the principle support for the weight of the stairway 2 and the weight of any body positioned on the stairway. Longitudinal members 64, 66, 68 extending between the lower edges of adjacent modules 4 are loaded in tension and resist separation of the individual modules 4. Because the box beam 60 is the primary weight carrying member, the longitudinal members can be relatively thin and flexible and easy to fabricate.
