    摘要: The invention relates to a doctor assembly in a paper machine, which is intended to clean, e.g., a roll, and which includes a surface against which a doctor blade is set, a blade support for supporting the doctor blade, a frame, a jointed bearing assembly, which supports the doctor blade and is itself supported from the frame, and which is parallel to the doctor blade, and extends essentially over the entire width of the roll, and loading devices between the blade support and the frame for turning the doctor blade in relation to the frame and for pressing the doctor blade against the surface with a selected pressure. Due to the continuous support, there is essentially no deflection in the doctor assembly, when it is attached by its frame directly to the structures of the paper machine.

    摘要: A doctor apparatus comprises a base adapted to be fixed to a doctor back and having a shelf projecting forwardly therefrom. A compliant top plate overlies the forwardly projecting shelf. The top plate has a rear portion fixed with respect to the base, and a front portion projecting forwardly beyond the shelf. Mutually spaced blade support members are secured to the underside of the front portion of the top plate. The blade support members have front portions underlying and cooperating in spaced relationship with the underside of the front portion of the top plate to define mutually aligned receiving slots, and have rear portions underlying and cooperating in spaced relationship with the shelf to define mutually aligned recesses. A doctor blade has a rear portion removably retained in the receiving slots, and a front portion projecting forwardly beyond the top plate. A resilient element is confined in the recesses between the shelf and the rear portions of the blade support members.

    摘要: An apparatus for doctoring a roll surface including a pivot bar adapted to be mounted on a doctor back and which the pivot bar defines an upwardly projecting fulcrum. A first shelf projects forwardly beyond the fulcrum and a top plate pivotally supported on and projecting forwardly beyond the fulcrum overlies the first shelf. The top platen is held downwardly against the fulcrum. Blade support members are carried by and cooperate with the top plate to define forwardly open slots, which slots are configured and dimensioned to receive a rear edge of a forwardly projecting doctor blade. The blade support members have rearwardly projecting second shelves underlying the first shelf and a loading mechanism is interposed between the first and second shelves for pivoting the top plate on the fulcrum in a direction urging the doctor blade against the roll surface.

    摘要: An apparatus for doctoring a moving surface includes a blade holder component extending longitudinally across the moving surface and carrying a doctor blade. A support component is parallel to and supports the blade holder component. A first operating mechanism rotatably urges the doctor blade in a doctoring direction into contact with the moving surface, resulting in the doctor blade being acted upon by a reactionary thrust force in the plane of the doctor blade and a reactionary rotational force in a direction opposite to the doctoring direction. A pair of mutually opposed parallel guide rails are provided on one of the components, and rotatable rollers are spaced along the length of the other of the component. The rollers are in rolling contact and in mechanical interengagement with the guide rails to accommodate reciprocal movement of the blade holder component relative to the support component, and to resist both the reactionary thrust force and the reactionary rotational force acting on the doctor blade. A second operating mechanism reciprocally moves the blade holder component relative to the support component.
